Catalina is a cute little enclave of southern California. A place more to relax than "do". We tendered ashore, strolled into and around town, got something to eat, and then wandered back to the ship. ...

This port can be done easily by foot. Our first stop was at Von's for picnic supplies. Then, we walked 1.5 miles to the Wrigley Memorial & Botanic Gardens. It costs to enter. Within the gardens, there is access to the Garden to Sky Trail. What beautiful views! Be sure to wear hiking shoes because the path is gravel. The round trip distance for the trail is 2.8 miles. ...

We tendered to Avalon and walked over to the Casino and back. Avalon is so pretty and quaint. We then rented a golf cart which I highly recommend. The one-hour tour showed us amazing vistas and we saw so much more of the town than we would have on foot. We ate a simple meal on the pier and returned to the ship. We had perfect weather. What a beautiful day, we spent about three hours there plus ...

Could not wait to get to Catalina Island as I have never been there before. Wow, was I disappointed! It is a very small stop. It was more expensive than any other port we were in and it was extremely crowded! We ate in a mexican restaurant and it too was expensive and horrible! Island Had some charm and an old time seaside feel, but I am fine never going there again! ...
