Transatlantic Sunset

Review for Marella Celebration to Transatlantic

I decided on this trip as a way to see the Caribbean with my 77 year old mum and not have the overnight flight back to UK. The Thompson’s brochure states you can check in and drop your bags the day before, unfortunately this is not the case, however once you have dropped your cases you don’t see them again until they are delivered to your cabin (it’s worth having some suitable ‘hot weather’ ...

Great Cruise and People, certain things lacking from Marella (disappointing)

Review for Marella Celebration to Caribbean - All

What went well: The flight, crew, and service were excellent, safety was a priority. Transfers were good with no added delay other than the wings being deiced which was acceptable. No hassle, boarding the ship was easy and well managed with the exception of the booker not being aware of 25-night passengers. The cruise director Gavin Carroll was a joy, he was always smiling and friendly and ...

Coral Cruise on Marella Celebration with Marella Cruises (Thomson/TUI Group)

Check-in Process: I booked a cruise holiday simply enough on the website and had confirmation emails. As part of my booking documentation it clearly states: “You’ll be able to check-in online from 7 days before your departure date and once you do, you’ll automatically be allocated your seats on the plane” That’s simple to understand, However….. When I proceeded to check-in online the ...

Caribbean Gems Followed by Coral Islands

Firstly this was a 3 star cruise with 5 star staff. Having done two previous cruises on Majesty and Spirit we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. Some useful information first. 1. If you are just doing the cruise for one or two weeks without a hotel stay you do not have to pay 10 Dollar entrance or 20 dollar exit from Dominican Republic. 2. There is a charge for the safe in the ...

Good but much room for improvement

Review for Costa Favolosa to Caribbean - Western

My partner and I decided to treat ourselves to a romantic vacation with all the bells and whistles. Cost was not a significant factor in our decision but rather level of service. Our vacation started at an adults only resort in Punta Cana DR (Chic by Royalton - Diamond Club) which was an awesome experience. We chose Costa Favolosa for the second part of our vacation as it departed from DR ...

Nice cruise, but would not choose Costa again.

Review for Costa Favolosa to Caribbean - Eastern

My husband and I just returned from a one week cruise on the Favolosa. We have sailed on almost 20 cruises with most of the major lines so have a good base for comparison. Overall we enjoyed the cruise but there were several small irritations that were sufficiently annoying that we would not sail with Costa again. The positives: cabin was very nice and kept immaculate by the steward; same goes ...

Value Focused Good Cruise That Delivers As Expected

Review for Horizon to Caribbean - Southern

My family and I just disembarked from a 7 day cruise with Croisieres de France on the Horizon. My wife, 4-year-old daughter and I enjoyed the cruise and would cruise again for the value. Now, a bit more. I've done 23 cruises before this one, 14 with my wife and 1 with all three of us. We've been on all the major US-focused lines except Carnival (Royal, NCL, HAL, Princess, Celebrity, Costa, etc) ...
