Cartagena, Columbia -We did the Princess tour Aromas of Colombia. This tour was fantastic. We sailed from the port to the Old city while tasting coffee and enjoying local fruit, coconut lemon and a delicious ceviche. We did a nice walk of the old city and enjoyed some free time. We did the Walled City/Harbor Tour and I'm glad we did it in that order because the boat and fresh air compensated for the heat and sweat of the walk. Honestly, the vendors are in your face through the whole tour shoving hats, cigars, beads, etc. making for a very unpleasant tour. Overcrowded tours everywhere we went. Our tour guide would start explaining and then the following group would come so close behind it was if our guide just didn’t finish the explanation. The jade jewellery stop was ridiculous. It is the tiniest store with virtually overcrowded tourists piling in. The free coffee was one ounce ; why even bother. The excursion we took on Cartagena was very disappointing from the beginning. The cruise ship crew did a poor job planning the disembarkation for the excursion. It was mass confusion.
