Been a few times and ship was late. Took local bus 110 up to Palm Cove ( cheap $6 return for seniors ), but this time got out at Clifton Beach and walked around there for a while, it is beautiful. Then walked to northern end and onto new pathway just inland from beach up to Palm Cove. Walked around for a while ( was there few weeks previous ) it is a busy place, then got bus back to Cairns. First day went for a bus ride on local coach run, only cost $3.50 ( seniors ) each way, bargain. Second day - booked a trip to Fitzroy Island with Book Me on line ( only $70 each return not $90). Great visit, even the weather was good, beautiful walk to Nudey Beach and then ...

Cairns docked. Raining on and off all day. No use doing train or ferry trip. Just walked around and take pics. At end of day told Port Douglas not happening tomorrow, too windy apparently. So next day got a local bus to Trinity Beach and back for $10 for two of us. ( Seniors deal), that was interesting seeing the local areas and beach. ...
