Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Panorama

JCG_1991
2-5 Cruises • Age 30s

Went whale watching through a cruise line excursion. For the amount paid I didn’t feel it was worth it. We were on such a large boat, everyone was fighting to see the whales. Would have rather went on one of the smaller boats from the multiple men standing at port yelling “Where you wanna go!?” At us the second we got on land. ...

This port wasn’t as we expected but it was still decent. Tendering was a new process for us which took a long time but over all not the end of the world. ...

It's like an upscale shopping mall. It's a tender only port. Shopping and restaurants can be found all along the water front. Best place for whale watching from the ship while docked ...

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Discovery Princess

We walked off the ship, looking for the best deal on a boat ride to The Arch. We ended up paying $10 each for the 8 of us. The "glass bottom" boat had only a tiny bit of glass and some of it was covered in extra life-jackets. but we saw lots of fish off the side of the boat. We then walked to a swimmable beach (Playa Elfarito - about 2 km from the port but one could take a water-taxi most of the ...

It was the worst excursion I have ever experienced. Four of us were put on a small boat with a captain and his mate. Very little English was spoken, which might have been OK, but there was no effort to explain any part ...

We did a marvelous whale watching tour here. The port itself is very touristy, with a few shops and a Senor Frog's. At this port, you want to be out on the water. ...

Tender port, which can be annoying. Just walked around the port area and got back on the ship. After awhile the ports tend to look the same (I know - first world answer) ...

As expected, we were bombarded with people asking you to buy a tour or items. There were police walking around so we felt safer. A lot of pharmacies. They almost only want USD. If you use Mex pesos, the cost was higher. The prices were ridiculous so bargain. ...
