As our son lives in Belgium we have visited many times so we arranged to meet him in Blankenberge which is a pretty resort and spent the day there.

Princess messed up, so we only got a couple hours here, but it was by far our favorite port. We managed to get a cab into Bruges after Princess cancelled our scheduled tour and had a great time walking around town, tasting beers and eating chocolate. Would LOVE to go back to Belgium and hopefully make it to Brussels next time too. Read Less

You dock at Zeebrugge and we took a shuttle into town where you are dropped off round the corner from the rail station. The shuttle took about 15 mins and the train about 10 or so. It cost something like 6 Euros return on the train so saved a lot instead of paying P&O to take us all the way on an excursion. It was also far quicker by train but if you have mobility issues then it's probably better to take an excursion. Read Less

The shuttle bus now drops you in the heart of Blankenberge, meaning the trip to Brugges is really easy - cross the road to the train station and pay 5 euros for a ticket. We actually looked araound Blankenburg instead as we have done Brugges before. It is a nice town with a typical seaside resort feel, including the Crazy Golf which was very entertaining. There are lots of chocolate shops around for getting the prezzies for family. Read Less
