We had a rainy here this time so didn’t go out, but other visits here we really enjoyed. Easy to walk around yourself and go up the gondola for the excellent city views. Walk around the old coloured wooden buildings which is the unesco site. Also there are great food markets near the pier but be warned they do sell whale meat if that’s an issue for you. ...

The weather was shocking. wind, rain and fog! So we didn't see the town never mind walk around it!! We had booked a walking tour, however, it would have been very unpleasant and uncomfortable to walk in the weather that day!! ...

We toured on our own. A nice town but a little disappointed. We took the funicular and were afforded very beautiful views. We would recommend this although we would recommend purchasing the tickets ahead of time. The lines were long. We also had lunch in the fish market area. We looked forward to the king crab, but felt it was way overpriced and not much crab. Shop around.. ...
