This was our first Viking ocean cruise and we very much enjoyed it. Started in Oslo at a lovely grand old hotel close to the park, then took the train to Bergen. Fell in love with Bergen, such a walkable city. We loved the lightness of our ship, so many spaces for down time, very comfortable. Always wanted to do this trip. Slightly disappointed with the ship and cabin as used to cruise ships. Wasn't expecting that level of luxury obviously but still disappointed. Cabin spartan and very small. Ridiculous amount of space to get around the bottom of the bed. Not enough tea\milk etc. Got fed up with asking for more. Food lovely. We choose this cruise mainly for the itinerary. We arrived a day early to explore Bergen a little. Embarkation was a breeze, as was disembarkation. The on board experience was excellent, food, service,entertainment. Everything just lovely. The Eidfjord Norway stop is scenic however there is nothing to do there except an excursion. There were no shops, nothing.
