We got of the ship in Beijing for 2 nights as the ship was docked too far away from Beijing to make it practical to do daily tours as too much time would be spent going from the ship to the destination. We had an included excursion from our travel agent. This took us to Tienemann square the Forbidden city and The Great Wall. Fortunately a clear day. Very rushed, but the Wall especially is worth seeing. Had our photo taken with lots of Chinese ladies (not much sense of personal space, but very friendly!) as we have 'fair' hair, unusual, to them. The ship docked in Tianjin, a commercial port 2 to 3 hours away from Beijing. We decided to stay in Tianjin. There was a free shuttle from the ship to the closest subway station 40 minutes away.
