Almost missed our bus for city tour because lunch was running late. Later on we walked around ourselves and got a private tour - from the valet parking guy! - of a beautiful hotel created in a historic bank building complete with bank vault. We stayed over night at Baton Rouge so many of the cruisers experienced the night life. The USS Kidd is docked next to the American Queen dock. Our tour the grand plantation tour, we saw four sugar cane plantations over a two day time period. This is an excellent view into the past of the Mississippi River grandeur. My husband was driven by golf cart up to the Planetarium and they had a wheelchair that they loaned us. We enjoyed their exhibits and the 360 presentation on the Pharohs of Egypt. Later in the afternoon, we took the Historic Baton Rouge Tour by luxury bus and enjoyed the expertise driving of Max, but did not care for the guide who read off of cards through the whole tour.We stopped at the LA ...
