Review for a Asia Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

I wanted to cruise in Southeast Asia. Starting poor service in transport from airport to port. Lots of bus but whoever organized the transport does not know what they’re doing. We were waiting in the hot bus for 2 hours before transported to the port. Embarkation was a pure hell, chaotic and disorganized, this is only the beginning of security in the the port not even checking in. They should have ...

We were celebrating Birthdays & Special Anniversary. The itinerary included Koi Samui and Cambodia and was the right dates. Firstly, we have been on many cruises over the years, most higher class but always enjoyed Thomson because of the wonderful service, mainly from the Phillipino and British Staffand their attention to care. However, this is our 2nd trip on Discovery mainly to give it ...

This was a special holiday and very expensive chosen as a one-off treat never again The cabin looked lovely but we had problems with the carpet being wet from the balcony to the middle of the lounge area as did a lot of the same side of our deck . The Butler was visible sometimes and not others . Tried twice to phone room service and was cut off . The patio door was not sealed properly and ...

Terrible tours and customer service

Review for a Asia Cruise on Viking Orion

My husband and chose to go on Viking’s Orion Bangkok to Bali cruise with our good friends. They have been on a number of Viking river cruises and we have been on 6 cruises however not with Viking. The ship is beautiful and the rooms were as expected, small but nice. However, the “free excursions” were terrible! The ship docked so far away (1.5-2 hours each way) from what they included in the ...

Bangkok, Bali & Beyond; **Caveat emptor**

Review for a Asia Cruise on Viking Orion

This was our 3rd cruise on Viking Ocean, before on the Star & the Sea. Both were quite enjoyable. This one not so much! We boarded the ship in excellent health (and I have the blood work to prove it having been tested just 48 hours prior to embarkation). Within 48 hours on the ship, developed ottis media (inner ear infection) which was a cause of concern. Went to sick bay & the treating doc ...

The worst cruise ever

Review for a Asia Cruise on Costa Fortuna

We travel in a party of 11 which every one is experienced cruise traveller. The only reason that our family chose this cruise is the period time of the cruise. I am so disappointed with almost every thing including poor boarding, bad dinner, stinct lobster, worst breakfast, too limited choices of lunch, wrong, ineffective and annoying announcement, poor quality announcer, too limited tender ...

Lack of wheelchair assistance, disabled access, disabled stateroom facilities.

Review for a Asia Cruise on Nautica

My wife suffers from Multiple Sclerosis and has limited mobility. We would never have booked this cruise had we not been led to believe that there was a suitable disabled access stateroom meeting our requirements on board the Nautica. This cruise was sold to us in the U.K. by Oceania on the basis that we would have an accessible stateroom with wheelchair accessible shower, disabled grab rails, ...

We chose Oceania thinking it would be a step up from HollandAmericaLine, we were very wrong. The cabin, a balcony state room was smaller than the smallest HAL ocean view cabin we have ever had. The cruise director, David, is past burned out. What passes for activities on this ship is what you would find in a day care centre. It was indoor shuffle board, bean bag toss and putting everyday. ...

Where is the old Regent?

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

User Avatar

This was our eighth Regent cruise and last. The trip was billed as "journey to nirvana" with the highlight two days in Saigon. They claimed the weather was bad so they cancelled the port call in Vietnam. Then they cancelled the stop in Malaysia. We were left with a lot of sea days and no "nirvana" The real reason they could not reschedule these stops was that it was Chinese New Year and no on was ...
