The port is good 2 hrs to Bangkok, you need to use the ship's bus service to get into town. Plan on much more time than needed to get to any tours, Bangkok traffic is one of the worst in Asia. It's not unusual to take 30 minutes to travel 2-4 miles in central Bangkok. We stay over night and booked our own bike and boat tours and saved a lot comparing to ships tours, at next night's dinner we find ...

The port for Bangkok is Laem Chabang, so we were docked overnight. We had spent several days in Bangkok before the cruise, so we did not go back. We had a hard time finding something to do for the two days we were here. However, on the first day, we took a taxi to Silver Lake Winery. It was not easy to find a taxi to take us there because they all wanted you to do a tour. We did find a taxi ...

We had almost 2 full days near Bangkok. Due to a naval vessel using our berth in Laem Chabang, we actually docked in Sri Racha nearby. In Sri Racha, buses out of the industrial port were provided. There were a bunch of taxis, but ...

We went to Pattaya one day and Harbour Mall the next for a wee shop. The first day we used the taxi/bus service in the port hall, the next day we walked outside the gates and got a private taxi...it was cheaper but obviously not without risks. Our driver was lovely, picked us up at the designated time and place like we arranged. We got back early and enjoyed the ships facilities without the ...

Another six guests in a private taxi. We left the ship at 7:30 a.m. and returned at 9:30 p.m. We loved the boat ride to the King's Barges and saw the sights from the river. Visited Grand Palace - a must see, and had Pad Thai for lunch and dinner! ...
