Beware if you are in a wheelchair

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Pride

Our steward was very attentive and our room and bathroom were very wheel chair accommodating. Our extended balcony was lovely, but it was not accessible for my husband who is in a wheelchair. That was a huge disappointment! None of the pools or hot tubs were ADA compliant and there were very few handicap bathrooms. If our friends had not joined us on this cruise, my hubby would have really ...

Nice Trip but Poor Cruise Line

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

A nice trip but a poverty-centered, rude. and penny-pinching cruise line. Everything is extra, even room service ($8.95 + 18%). The coffee and juice is cut 50/50 with water (I watched them do it) and when my wife complained because her premium Scotch was so watered down it did not even have a smell, the bar tender admitted it and opened a new bottle! I saw food service staff taking out the ...

Convenience

Choice the cruise because of the convenient location, Baltimore, and the friendly staff. The entertainment was poor. The feature shows and entertainment in the theatre has been repeated cruise after cruise after cruise. Daily background music in the main lounge and other area's of the ship was mostly hard-rock. There was NO soft music. The speaker volume for all daily and evening ...

Terrible Customer Service, Worst of any line we've sailed!

why choose service room food activities We chose this cruise due to the convenience of sailing out of Baltimore - super easy to get to from Washington, DC and we loved the idea of avoiding flights. Pre-Cruise: My overall rating for the pre-cruise experience is less than 1 star. It was horrible, because RC cancelled our reservation just weeks before sailing. We were paid in full by the ...

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas

We were excited to see these ports in Canada and New England, all of them new to us. Definitely a trip I had looked forward to, celebrating our 45th anniversary and a birthday. Some of the things they could have managed were smoother transitions for tours off the ship. Maybe special accommodations for handicap accessible needs, such as a bus for their slower pace. Why show a skateboarding ...

Disappointing, especially on accessibility issues.

My sister and I sailed on the Pride in Dec 2015 to determine if this ship would be right for a 50th wedding anniversary celebration. We were impressed with leaving from Baltimore and with the service on board. This cruise was disappointing. Service standards seem to have fallen. There was little or no communication between service departments and between supervisors and workers. A private ...

This was my second cruise. My first was on NCL. We were celebrating a friend's 40th birthday - traveled with her and her 3 1/2 year old son. What I liked: boarding was so smooth and fast. Disembarking was pretty easy as well (although we didn't know what the process would be until late the day before). Food was better than NCL and overall decent. Service in stateroom was ...

This cruise is catered to senior citizens. Even the entertainment is geared towards the "older crowd". Bartenders are even calling out..time for your medications!! I'm guessing 85% of the guests on this ship are between 65-75. I am 56 and had a hard time finding places on the ship to hear more modern music or things to do. The ports are very interesting, I especially enjoyed the stop at Bar ...

Double Edged experience

First and foremost, the cabin stewards and dining staff were outstanding, professional and hardworking.and the ship kept meticulously clean. The food was average. The ship is older and showing signs of age in places and had noticeable vibration from propulsion or the propeller. The comedy entertainment was excellent, but the singers/dancers mediocre. We chose the beach excursions and all ...

Eclipse in Bermuda

We enjoyed a short getaway before school started. The port of Baltimore allows for easy boarding and exiting of the ship. We drove to the port and parked near the cruise terminal. We had ordered glasses for the eclipse and were pleasantly surprised that Royal Caribbean provided glasses. The ship is dated but fairly well maintained. The ship's wifi was pretty poor. If you need to be ...
