The 50th anniversary "Sailabration" is really just a "Sell-a-bration"

Have taken this exact cruise several times. Chose this particular date because of the advertised "special" 50th Anniversary Sailabration events. (It is being offered on several sailings this year) Promises included a "Fun Ship Meetup" at sea as well as a Midnight Buffet featuring ice sculptures and food as it was served 50 years ago. (The web page was changed soon after we entered the "no ...

Somewhat Disappointed

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

My friend and I chose this cruise because it sailed out of Baltimore, so we didn't need to fly. This cruise was rescheduled twice. The best thing is that by the time of our cruise, masks were no longer required indoors. Our ship was fully vaccinated. Enchantment is one of their oldest ships and it is in need of refurbishment. Much of the furniture is very dated. We had issues with the sliding ...

We have cruised on MSC a couple of times and found this one with friends going also. Good price food not so good MDR was ok nothing to go nuts over. We went to the buffet for breakfast we were not impressed food cold and old my eggs were crispy {poached eggs} I do not like that the buffet was self serve and the tables were only wiped off with dirty rags NASTY The staff were great. ...

This was our 13th cruise. We are in our 50's. We have sailed on Carnival the most. This was the first time we have sailed out of Baltimore and it was extremely easy to board. By far the easiest embarkation ever. Parking is literally right there at the port. We paid $105.00 for 7 days of parking at the pier, which is very reasonable. I want to emphasize that the STAFF were ALL amazing at all ...

All of our past cruises on ACL have been excellent, but this one did not quite live up to our expectations. Herewith what did not go right (much did go right -- see "On the Positive Side" below): Our Big Delay Our Inland Passage cruise on the American Star began as planned in Baltimore, MD. But after a day at our first port in Yorktown, VA, Captain O'Connor announced that a critical engine ...

Wife and I booked this for our first. Probably our last, just not for us. The ship was nice, the food and service ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! I became seasick w/ somewhat rougher seas and weather the last 2 days. I am still having some land sickness, yes there is such a thing, but hopefully will get over that. We swam with dolphins at Blue Lagoon, another experience checked off our bucket list. ...

Weather cancelled a warm weather port and not enough to do!

We had to wait over an hour in line at the entrance to the parking lot, because of a delayed embarkation. Windjammer food was great, Dining Room food was oversalted and overdone. Singers and dancers were good, but shows relied too much on them for the entertainment. Three shows were comedians and nothing else...two were not long enough to qualify as the show for the evening. Ladies restrooms ...

Dark ship

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Pride

I have been on at least 20 cruises. This is the darkest ship I have ever been on. I think part of the problem in the buffet is that the ceilings are painted a dark color. There are several places around the ship that seem really dark. I had a great cabin steward and Ronnie my waiter in the dining room was very good. Plenty of games and such during the day, although I do wish there was more ...

Can you really complain when you’re on a cruise to the Bahamas? Well, just a little bit when sailing on Grandeur of the Seas. Embarkation: Due to an outbreak of a virus on the previous sailing (great start I know) they delayed embarkation to 12pm. Luckily, we purchased the key which allowed us to receive priority boarding. But people were very grumpy waiting in line. The lines were long and ...
