Excellent Cruise...Except for the Included Tours

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Viking Orion

We have sailed on Viking Ocean before, and will do so again. Check-in and debarking was excellent. We had a PS3 cabin, which was worth the money. The food was quite good; although they should have more green salads, and the included wine were very drinkable; a Tempranillo from Spain, and a red from the Vaucluse in France. The entree portions were often quite small. The food in Manfredi's was ...

Bali to Sydney cruise (Many hits and a few misses)

We had been on Viking before so I am comparing this cruise to the Viking cruise we took last year - plus other cruises we have taken. Dollar for dollar you are not going to do better than booking a Viking cruise - we were so impressed that we booked a river cruise for 2020. The food was very good (not 5* but definitely 4*) - The entertainment was surprisingly good - not as many entertainers or ...

I also found not all passengers were treated the same. I think if you socialized with the crew you were treated better. If you spent time later in the evening with then and participated in their games, they greeted you and treated you differently. Because of our age we thought this would be a good way to see Australia. Flight arrangements were terrible, sent us north to go west, long layovers. ...

Review for a Asia Cruise on Star Clipper

I worked 2-man fishing boats in my teens. Sailing ship (4 masts) lacks stabilizers and i was seasick all eleven days. Don't take opiate pills they offer. Food is excellent and plentiful. Soups and Indonesian food outstanding, cheeses served at their best. Wet landings ashore. We skipped the ones that required transfer to tender followed by second transfer to zodiac. Passengers need be ...

Not as good as it should be

Review for a Asia Cruise on Caledonian Sky

This cruise was operated by Noble Caledonia who have chartered the ship for several years from APT who apparently have a share in NC. The trip: It was an expedition cruise along the coast of Java, ending in Singapore. The attraction of these cruises is that there is an emphasis on nature and local culture and they go places larger ships can't get to, with frequent use of zodiacs for ...

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

Long time Princess cruiser...first time on Azamara. The size of the ship (as with sister ships Princess has owned) is great...intimate and able to get into small (read interesting) ports. Food okay...liquor, soda, espresso drinks, and tips included...that's nice, but raises the fare for all. TV movies and shows VERY limited...repeated endlessly. The "Quest" needs some cosmetic work, but ...

An enjoyable cruise, but we can no longer thoroughly recommend Azamara.

Sail Date: 22 December, 2015 Recently completed the 14 nights Christmas and New Year’s Eve cruise, on the Azamara Quest, from Bali to Cairns. Although my husband and I had a very enjoyable time, our experience of this second cruise was not the excellent experience we had had on our first cruise (Hong Kong to Singapore, Azamara Journey, January 2014.) What was still excellent about the ...

This was our 5th cruise on Azamara, and the 3rd on the Quest. First time over the Christmas holiday season. First impressions, the Quest looks a little tired, however, it is slated for refurbishment in early 2016. There seems to be fewer wait staff than in the past, however the attitude of the staff and crew remains excellent. Food quality remains very high in all restaurants. We made a ...

This cruise was chosen for the itinerary. DH always had wanted to see Komodo Dragons and I loved the sound of Bali and besides it is hard for us to find a long cruise with all new ports for us. It was a delightful trip. Food was good (except for really bad orange juice) and drinks were freely offered except no diet Sprite in the whole of Asia it seems. We do not drink alcohol but it seemed that ...
