Good Cruise, But...

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Azamara Onward

We were on several previous Azamara cruises, and this was our first time on the Onward. However, we think we were on this ship before, when it was part of Princess. We thought that an Azamara cruise was an ideal way to see both New Zealand and Australia. What we didn't realize was that we were sailing on a segment of a "world cruise" and about a third of the passengers were on the much ...

A nice cruise on a nice ship

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Viking Orion

This was my second Viking Ocean cruise so obviously I liked my first one. For reference, I would classify Viking as perhaps a rung below lines like Silversea and Regent, but above Oceania or Celebrity. This was my first visit to this part of the world, and generally it was an excellent cruise with a few hiccups here and there. I probably preferred my first Viking cruise to this one for a few ...

13 Night Auckland to Auckland round trip in February 2024 travelling to Bay of Islands, Sydney, Milford Sound, Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington and Tauranga. Occupied The Napoli Suite on Deck 14 (Rivera) being an S4 Penthouse. The ship was in excellent outside condition - very well maintained, with plenty of deck staff attending to cleaning and ensuring towels were removed from vacated chairs ...

Fantastic Cruise around NZ

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Royal Princess

We chose this cruise as was in the tail end of the school holidays for us and it left from our hometown of Auckland and came back to Auckland. This was a joint cruise which already had people who had boarded in Sydney and who disembarked when we hit our second port of Sydney. Once there, another load of people embarked. The organisation of those of us in transit in Sydney was much better ...

Basically I booked this cruise just to test the model. We wanted to experience the hype , we were pleasantly surprised. Staff were wonderful, very attentive, professional, and courteous. Restaurants fabulous, This would have been a near 5 star review. I never give them the are not attainable, but this cruise was close. The ship is almost silent even when manoeuvring, a ...

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

We chose Norwegian Spirit for the itinerary since we are huge fans of LOTR and The Hobbit movies. Taking advantage of a special fare sale that included airfare meant we could spend more time and see more than on a land tour. This was our very first cruise on any line. As a party of 4 with 2 older teens we ended up booking two rooms so everyone had enough space. I can’t say I would ever do that ...

Lovely cruise but outdated attire rules.

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Silver Whisper

This is our second Silverseas cruise with the first being July 2023. The first cruise was an expedition cruise around the Kimberley region and was fabulous. We are still onboard the current cruise but I’m exhausted from arguing with the fabulous staff night after night about this antiquated rule that men need a jacket even on informal night. My husband is well attired in smart country club ...

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Pacific Explorer

We choose the cruise because it was affordable , looked good, and going to part of the pacific I had heard of as being great to visit. Wife and I found the cabins just as we imagined. Small but had all we needed. Our door opened out onto a small balcony which gave lots of fresh air and a great view at sea. The food is really good. The pantry has plenty of variety. They change every day. You ...

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Coral Princess

We chose the Coral Princess for a short vacation with friends, jumping on in Auckland back to Sydney. We have done this hop previously and found it to be a relaxing break with easy of travel over to NZ. There were several Princess ships offering this mini cruise from Auckland and the Coral date and pricing suited our needs but would have happily tried any of their other ships (Royal was in port ...

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Viking Mars

This was our first cruise on over 30 years. We were traveling half way around the world to visit with a family member in Sydney and decided to include New Zealand in our travels. The pre-extension around the north island was fabulous. We met some great people on the cruise, and there was a lot of good food. The entertainment was outstanding, as well as the talks on history of the areas we were ...
