This is our 9th cruise, 8 with Celebrity. Athens to Athens. We were supposed to disembark in Istanbul but Celebrity cancelled that port about 2 months prior and replaced it with Athens. We are Elite members which did give us some perks. Checked in around 3pm. Very quick. Not crowded. Probably took 10-15 minutes from the time we walked in. So, before we took 10 steps after getting our SeaPass ...
We have recently returned from our cruise on the Celebrity Equinox. Due to the recent troubles in Turkey our final port of Istanbul changed so we cruised in and out of Athens. This change was managed superbly by our TA and we had better return flight times than our original booking.
Embarkation was smooth, and we were on board with glass of fizz in hand just after midday. Whilst this ship was ...
General: we came off the ship very happy of our experience on the Equinox. The star is very attentive, no matter where on the ship, if you need hep or an information they are there really to help. The food is very good, if you have selected a "drink package" they will serve you as much as you want, We thought they would served one glass and disappear, no way they keep asking if you want more ...
This cruise is perfect for couples and those of us that aren't the greatest at socialising. With dining a true pleasure and able to have a table for 2 and most times by a window without the uncomfortable chit-chat of the round table. The layout on the ship very easy to navigate and the spa area a high light. There are plenty of areas to explore with little surprises everywhere. We only did the ...
Great selection of excursions and solo activities. It was disappointing to have the itinerary changed to remove the original embarkation country entirely. Greece is gorgeous but I think 5 of the 10 days in 1 country was too much. Would have liked to spend more time in certain cities. There was no figuring the schedule either as some stops we had to be back on board at 11pm while others left ...
Overall it was a good experience. However, some of the islands we visited could be removed completely as there was nothing to see there (like Ios island, or even Sirios), and they could make a longer stop at Santorini.
The pool water was very very cold and the pool itself very small, while situated in the middle of a bar and a restaurant. The sun beds were on different floors, so there was no ...
First timers on Seabourn.
The great stuff:
- the food. Best we've had on a ship, almost everything was excellent and some would rival fine land restaurants
- the cabin, our most recent cruises were with Az and Oceania so the room was much larger for a start but also beautifully 'done'. We loved the walk in wardrobe, the bathroom and the size of the sitting area
- the service was ...
The cruise was really good! You can choose from a wide range of activities when the ship is sailing. There were Greek Lessons, Dancing lessons, Arts and Crafts, and lots of music!!! The food is quite good on the 4th floor Aegean Restaurant, but as an asian, I did not really like the 9/F food. After a bit of research, I found out that the ship was from the 1980's, but I could not realize that. The ...
