Brand New Ship on First Voyage
"Being past Seabourn clients, we wanted to test drive this new ship and with a great price on offer for the first leg of its inaugural run, couldn't resist signing up even though the itinerary was not super..."Read More

Great itinerary - good value!

Review for Celestyal Crystal to Mediterranean

We chose this 7 days cruise because of the ports - Cairo, Jerusalem/Bethlehem, Cyprus, Rhodes and Ephesus. We also chose it because of the great value for what we paid as the price included 3 excursions (Cairo, Rhodes and Ephesus), gratuities and drinks (albeit you could also pay for “premium drinks”). We had read the reviews on the Celestyal Crystal and had “lowered the bar” for our ...

My sister and I took this cruise because we both had wanted to go to Athens, and we had never done that. We are both over 80 years old and have mobility problems. On the boat, everything was fine. Shore excursions less so. We did not realize that there were enrichment and entertainment options, Our fault, we did not look at the daily briefings. We both wanted to go to Knossos, but the boat ...

We chose this cruise because we had been on one that ended in Athens almost 2 years ago and my husband got sick (we were quarantined to the stateroom on our last day and missed the excursion in Athens). There was a special deal on the first 8 days of the 14 night Mediterranean Antiquities cruise, beginning in Athens and ending with disembarkation in Rome. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were at ...

We have sailed Viking Ocean on 3 previous cruises. We love their ships - the size, the understated décor, no casino or sales of jewelry and other junk. This itinerary really appealed to us as we love history and the cruise covered Greek Antiquities, Crusaders Castles, Biblical locations and Pompeii. The most disappointing aspect of the cruise was the cuisine. This was our 4th Viking Ocean ...

3 Continent Cruise, Grand Suite

My mom and I opted to the Three Continent Cruise on the Crystal because of the ports visited for my mom’s birthday. We were overall pleased with the cruise and I don’t regret the extra expenditure for the Grand Suite. With that said, there were some really great features and some areas that you should be aware may fall short of some people’s expectations. Embarkation notice for suite ...

Traveling with friends and an it was an itinerary we wanted to pursue; Greece, Cyprus, Israel and Italy. The room was very nice, cabin steward mostly attentive and helpful, closet space very adequate, happy to have the safe very comforting to be able to lock things up. The dining experience was generally good, I especially like that there is no extra charge for any of the specialty venues. The ...

Viking is suppose to be top of the line. We have been on a River Cruise which was wonderful. Maybe it was the itinerary, but was not up to what I was expecting. The cabin was very nice. The ship was beautiful and very clean. Public rooms were nice. No bar available for my husband to watch college football, however, I was not surprised about that. My husband was hopeful. No more cruising ...

One must accept the premise that this is a smaller ship. Everything is scaled down. But it has some incredible offerings that other lines don't have. First, what might disappoint some: The buffet is small. It is not sumtuous. It is just adequate. There are supplements on the deck with omlette stations, BBQ etc. But this cruise line is not all about the food. The restaurants have a menu ...

First of all like to say the cruise living is fantastic and as usual was very well looked after by wonderful staff. Cons- Beautiful new ship with plenty of room to wonder around without feeling crowded. Alway found seat in Buffet area with new layout, plenty of couples seat and tables for larger groups. Food in fine dining restaurants was always good although usually lukewarm ...

We boarded the inaugural cruise at Athens (Piraeus). The bag drop and check In was a tented affair on the dock car park. The overall process was quite informal, and not quite the song and dance that we assumed would accompany such a memorable occasion. We were asked to leave our bags at the entrance to the tent, but oddly no receipts were issued. We were welcomed by a member of staff whom guided ...
