Review for a Greece Cruise on Galileo

We absolutely loved our cruise. It was our very first cruise experience and it was perfect. The staff was amazing. They went above an beyond. They remembered every preference and were so helpful and enthusiastic. We really enjoyed the swim stops. Seeing only the sea and a remote, uninhabited island was so fun. The crew was great about safety and getting us to and from shore. The ...

Hi folks, two weeks ago i went for my first cruise after the corona-break. The german-market-focussed cruise line TUI cruises offers 7-night cruises from Heraklion(Crete) to Piraeus and Corfu. As the price for these cruises are very attractive for solo travellers i could not resist. Due to the current Covid-19 situation there were some changes in the usual processes. First of all it was ...

Celestyal, An Overlooked Gem in the Cruise World?

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Celestyal Crystal

Last May, 2019, my wife and her siblings took a Greek island cruise on this very ship, which included Ephesus among the included excursions. I stayed home and took care of the dog. So effusive of her praise for the cruise and the included excursions, we decided to repeat the cruise this year. Celestyal offered a fantastic Black Friday cruise deal including drinks, gratuities, and three paid ...

Spectacular destination lineup, enjoyable ship experience

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Celestyal Crystal

The focus was on visiting many antiquities sites which was the main reason we selected this cruise package. Celestyal provided an excellent experience at a good value. Not a new ship or a large ship (900 passengers capacity?) with all the offerings you'd find on larger luxury boats but we found the Crystal to be very adequate for this type of cruise. Clean and well maintained throughout, friendly ...

If you are interested in seeing and learning about the Ancient Greek, Roman, and Minoan cultures, this is the cruise for you. Viking offers five star service all the way through along with a good selection of excursions. The food and wine selections are also the very best. Whether eating at The Restaurant, The Chefs Table, or Manfredi’s there is something you will like. There are great ...

This was our first cruise and we were accompanied by all our adult children. The dates were perfect in that all of us were off from work. Sailing in December avoided high temperatures and all our excursion destinies were not crowded. The ship was far beyond anything we expected with respect to the cabin, the service, the spa the food and the drinks. In the spa there is a snow room that was a new ...

Learn, relax & unplug!

The best way to learn about our history is to travel back to the places where so much began. "Disconnect and unplug" from the workaday world to learn from whence we came. As an educator, I experienced a whole lot of learning aboard the Viking cruises. This is a third cruise with Viking for me and my husband. We've been on other cruise lines before, but we truly believe that Viking is now our ...

Cruising for Christmas

I have worked for 30 years to get my husband to agree to a cruise. He didn’t want those small beds, he couldn’t stand to be below the waterline, he needs fresh air when he sleeps, he gets claustrophobic, he’ll get bored. I heard it for years - enter Viking Ocean Cruises - no rooms below water, all rooms have a private balcony with a large sliding glass door, king size beds, comfortable sized ...

I've always wanted to see Greece and this price was wonderful. The tours were handled so well. Tour guides were very knowledgeable and handled my millions of questions with patience. I would recommend this tour to anyone. We had one day at sea that was rough but we survived it okay. The Christmas decorations were very tasteful on the ship. The food was superb. I loved the fact that I could ...

For my 75th birthday, I took three generations of my family to enjoy a cruise over Christmas and New Years of 2020. I could not imagine that the actual experience would be as wonderful and beautiful as the PBS Ads! It was! Every step of the journey was so easy and so well organized that I simply floated through a blissful two weeks of paradise. Each crew member from the Captain to the bathroom ...
