5 reasons We chose to celebrate our 5th wedding a anniversary with virgin cruise lines. The ports we a beautiful touch. You really start your cruise experience right when you get off the plane. Once we arrived to the airport Virgin crew members were right there to escort us to our destination. That took a lot of the guess work out of traveling. On of my favorite features I’m the cabin is ...

Overall we were happy with this cruise. Our cabin was spacious and very clean. The food was inconsistent. Breakfasts and lunches were always very good, but the dinner options were either very good or disappointing. We chose the specialty dining at 60 euros a person for our last night and while it was delicious, it didn't blow us away. Wifi and cell service was extra and a hassle to set up and ...

Not as good as before

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Marina

Oceania is known for finest cuisine at sea but it seemed its quality has gone a bit downhill. The dish presentation is very dull and seemed many people can do a better job at home. In general service is good but could be better as it named itself as luxury cruise line. Entertainment is limited as the ship itself is not big. Sometimes you find not much to do on the ship. Luckily there is music ...

Jade- A polished jewel

We chose this cruise specifically for the ports in Romania and Bulgaria but due to the ongoing conflict those ports were switched for additional Greece ports. At first disappointed but the new route didn't disappoint. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the cruise and the cruise line. The Jade sparkles like a brand new ship. It was hard pressed to find signs that is was nearly 20 ...

Amazing mid East venues, on an elderly ship that still comes through

First, consider the main venues- Old City Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth- excursions into areas that were significant parts of our spiritual growth. Then the experience of the culture of Turkey albeit in two days. (we were shut out during a previous cruise). AND then the experience of Cyprus and two Greek Islands, for history, and simple beauty. So MUCH time was spent off the boat; this was ...

Azamara Mediterranean Greek and Egypt Cruise-Ancient civilizations

We chose this cruise over a year ago with the expectation of going to the Greek Isles and Israel. However, a week before the ship was due to leave on April 15th from Athens Greece, we were notified that our cruise has been redirected to Egypt with tours to Alexandria and Cairo to see the Pyramids due to the turmoil in Israel. I know the ships' captain was looking out for the welfare of the ...

Israel became Egypt/Rhodes/Crete

We specifically booked this trip for the 4 days in Israel. It was my 4th booking for this (or similar) sailing; Azamara cancelled the first 2 and the 3rd was cancelled by covid. Sadly due to the current situation Azamara changed our intinerary. 1) they did a good job with the last minute plans for Egypt, I would have been extremely disappointed if this had turned into a Greek island ...

Luxury Cruise, No. Quality Cruise, Yes.

We booked this cruise because it offered 4 port days in Israel. The day before we were to get on the ship, while we were in transit to the ship, the itenerary was changed. Israel was taken off of the itenerary. This was a major disappointment. This is a old ship that has had upgrades, but not to the degree that one would expect for a so called luxury class cruise. The cabin was barely adequate ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Sky

We took our first Viking Ocean cruise last year, and enjoyed it very much! We decided to book another ocean cruise this year, and since we've already seen the Western Mediterranean, we wanted to focus on part of the eastern half this time. We chose the cruise from Athens to Venice, and extended our time in Venice by two nights at the end of the cruise. As always, the food and service on-board ...
