We chose Carnival Vista because of reasonable prices and port-intensive itinerary. I'm writing this because I had seen so many poor reviews which made me apprehensive before we left. All in all, we (my husband and myself, seniors) had a great time.
We used Carnival transfers from the airport to the embarkation port in Athens and everything went smoothly. The port, itself, is a makeshift ...
Only booked a few weeks before we sailed as my wife needed to e stress after our daughters wedding which was the week before.sailed with riviera 1st in 2015 and was disappointed then, that we never got a bed by the pool when we came back on board in the afternoon. I prefer the smaller ships with around 600 passengers but no complaints about overcrowding on this cruise. staff were excellent and ...
This review is relevant to the 3 week Back2Back2Back2 Barcelona 3rd Sept to Rome 24th Sept.
We chose this cruise mainly due to the port of Malta being included. We have cruised the Med before with Princess and this cruise included many ports that we had not visited before. We were bitterly disappointed when the Port of Malta was taken off and two other ports added twice. Istanbul and Ephesus ...
Occasion for the trip was our honey moon, so we decided to have a cruise because I already had experience with cruising, and my wife was interested.
The cruise was chosen due to new big ship, good rate and interesting ports of call. The route was announced as a trip from Athens to Rome trough Santorini, Kushadasi, Mykonos, Malta and Portofino. When we came onboard we were surprised that route ...
Chose because it is. Newest Carnival Cruise liner
Did experience minor engine trouble but Carnival staff and Captains communication excellent with passengers
2 Staff very willing and service orientated Language misunderstanding was occasionally experienced
3 Embarkation process good but the first 90 minutes should be looked at because of volumes By warning passengers that a 60 minute ...
We enjoyed the cruise. Ship is good and well laid out . It is our 4th cruise on the Equinox. Staff are generally all excellent and helpful. I am always amazed that they are able to maintain the quality of food in the regular dining room for the number of people they serve and highly recommend booking the other restaurants for a truly awesome experience.
My only disappointment was when in ...
We were a party of 4 and had cruised on Azamara,Oceania and various other cruise lines. An opportunity presented itself to try Regent so this is our review. The package was booked through Regent with flights with BA from local airport which were stress free to Athens. We booked a GTY de-luxe balcony suite but were upgraded to concierge. We were on Dk.8 FWD.It was noticeable that there was quite a lot ...
The Queen Victoria is 'Outdated Elegance' as another critic has stated... and that is what we love, the Elegance of a Past-dated time. The Queen Vic has it in spades!! The ship has a wonderful, homely feeling once you board.
Everything was as we expected..... A MAJOR bone of contention is the carrying of your own suitcase etc after check-in at departure airport ....to the ships' transfer ...
Stateroom on floor 7 excellent, Britannia Restaurant excellent, Crew excellent, However the dance hosts were all American, two of them must have learnt there dancing from a library book, one was a try hard and the fourth did have some idea of what to do with a lady on the dance floor but it was all too much American Smooth style dancing which gets in the way of those who dance International, this ...
Seeing 10 ports of call in 14 days really gave me a small overview of which countries I would like to return to and which I wouldn't bother with We arrived in Athens a day and a half early to sight see. There were 4 women on this cruise with me being the youngest at 65. The other three were age 75 and over. Embarking was a breeze. The ship was similar to other Princess ships I have been on. ...
