Port was beautiful the personal taxi we got Edward for our family, was not so good at all. He showed us a picture of his taxi which was clearly a new Toyota van but took us to the retired mystery machine of van he promised the air worked he had just started car but it did not so we asked to go straight to beach and skip tour of which he refused to listen and took us on a 2hour tour in a scorching ...
Exclusive Sunset Schooner Cruise -
open bar, fun music and the apps, though started a little slow actually were quite good but simple and actually filled us up eventually. Scenery was nice but from a distance. Crew was great. Would do this again. ...
Unfortunately, half the shops in town are now closed, because of Covid and the detioration of small downtowns in general, and those that have survived are tourist traps. The team doesn’t run anymore either. It’s a pity our cruise director didn’t seem familiar with any of that. ...
After getting off the ship, we started walking around the shops and getting something to eat. By the time we did this, we were hot and tired. We did find a small area where there was sand and a little area where we could wade. The people of Aruba were very friendly. Aruba is a beautiful island. We decided to return to the ship and rest and get ready for that nights food and entertainment. ...
We booked the Riu Palace through Resort for a Day. The food was delicious. The servers were very nice. The beach and water were stunning! Even though it was almost noon by the time we arrived and ate, they found us a spot in the shade on the beach. When we switched to the pool, we had no problems finding more shade. The pool was large and not over-crowded. The pool bar was fun and in the shade. ...
We loved our stop in Aruba and were fortunate to have 8AM to 9:30PM in port to enjoy the island. Walking off the ship at 8:30 without firm plans or reservations, we were easily able to find a rental jeep to explore the island all day at our own pace. After a quick stop at the lighthouse for pictures we backtracked to Arashi beach for a morning swim. Arashi beach is postcard beautiful. We had a ...
We took a public bus for $5 return trip to Eagle Beach. The bus terminal is about a 7 min walk from the cruise terminal. Pay at the kiosk and wait for the bus! It was about a 10-15 min drive to the beach where we went for a swim. Eagle Beach is one of those that appears on the 'Best of World Beaches'. The water is aqua! Umbrellas and loungers can be rented. We then walked 30 mins to Palm Beach (It ...
We REALLY were looking forward to a day in Aruba but were left disappointed. The beaches are as incredible as you've heard. We took the bus to Eagle Beach and had a very nice day at a gorgeous and well kept beach. What we learned though is the wind blows in Aruba continuously, so we did get sand blasted a bit on the beach with wind gusts (but it wasn't terrible). After an enjoyable day at the ...
We chose a ship sponsored shore excursion that took us on a bus ride to the Aruba Aloe Factory which was a surprisingly interesting stop on our tour. We went to the Natural Bridge and California Lighthouse and a few other sites. Our tour guide provided a lot of information about Aruba.
The ship docked by the cruise terminal building which contained several shops inside (air conditioned!). ...
