Beautiful horses and guides were really friendly and nice. The horse ride was a little boring - only on the road and back again on same road which was lacking in scenery for sure. Into the water was fun but short experience.

Least favorite port. We walked around the port area, very poor, went to a small market and bought cheap braclets. We should have taken an excursion at this port.

We booked our own activity through Antigua Reef RIders. They picked us up at port and was about 15-20 min drive to Jolly Harbour where we had a tour guide take us on 2-person boats for several miles along the shoreline (which was absolutely gorgeous), passing many beaches that looked inviting, to a stop at Cades Reef to snorkeling. Antigua was beautiful on land and sea, although somewhat poor, but the people were very nice and we would go here again. Read Less

In Antigua, we went to the beach, Dickenson Bay Beach, which is right next to the Sandals Grand Antigua Resort. It was a quick and cheap ($3 per person) taxi ride. The beach and area is beautiful. There are a few people trying to sell tours on this beach but once you say no thank you, they leave you alone. I would suggest checking out this beach. Read Less

Swimming with the stingrays, then snorkeling. Saw lots of stingrays and fish, and were able to hold and feed the stingrays. Fun, and easy for folks who are not strong swimmers.

Antigua is a hidden gem and the pride that the people take in their tiny nation is admirable. I would definitely want to see more of this place.

The one with the lobster lunch was excellent. The captain and crew were excellent. It would be improved if there were access to beach chairs and shade at the beaches.

Took a cab up to the donkey sanctuary and got to brush the donkeys, left a donation, this is run by the humane society and it felt good to give them something for all the work they do.

We spent the day at Ffryes Beach. Took around 20 minutes by shared taxi and we had to arrange our return time with the driver. It’s a crescent shaped beach, with turquoise colored water and a restaurant at each end. On the north end, you will find Dennis Cocktail Bar and Restaurant while on the south end you have the Tiki Bar. The former is an open air restaurant with bathrooms and a varied menu where as the latter is more of a largish beach shack with a limited menu. We ended up eating at the Tiki Bar. For $10 we got a plate with salad, pineapple, stir fried noodles, rice and beans and BBQ chicken. It was really good and the portion was large. They were very friendly and the place had a great vibe to it. For chair and umbrella rentals, you actually have a few options and don’t need to go with one of the restaurants. We rented 3 chairs for $5 each and placed ourselves under a tree. Read Less
