The rating I gave is for this particular excursion, not for the entire port itself, as we didn’t really get to see much of the port due to this disappointing excursion. The town itself is a World Heritage site, but you don’t have any time to explore ...

Very boring. And it was Dubrovnik we had planned to go to. But they switch the two ports. So that was very sad. Ancona got nothing to offer and you see it in one hour max. ...

We knew noting of Ancona but enjoyed walking through the old town and up to the cathedral. Plus there are ruins of a Roman amphitheater. A delightful lunch meant that we thoroughly enjoyed Ancona - a hidden surprise. ...

I am sorry but it looked like we pulled into the ship yard dock, there was nothing around and when I asked the staff on the cruise what there was to do they said nothing. We were at this port longer then the rest and it was horrible. We stayed on the boat when we found out it was a hour walk to the beach in the hot weather. I didn't see any real transportation looking from my balcony. ...
