I am sorry but it looked like we pulled into the ship yard dock, there was nothing around and when I asked the staff on the cruise what there was to do they said nothing. We were at this port longer then the rest and it was horrible. We stayed on the boat when we found out it was a hour walk to the beach in the hot weather. I didn't see any real transportation looking from my balcony. Read Less

I was expecting Ancona to be a waste of time but it was pleasantly surprising. We walked around easily by ourselves, covering most landmarks before doing a spot of shopping and having a drink at a cafe. The town had many historical buildings and an easygoing atmosphere. Enjoyable day. Read Less

This is a sleepy old seaport. Not a lot to see in town, however, we wished we would of signed up for the tour of these Caverns. That was our only regret. Read Less

We planned to take the beach excursion from the ship, but it was cancelled due to expected bad weather. We took a taxi to a beach instead. Even though I had asked if it was a sandy beach, when we got there we found it was not a sandy beach. It was a rocky/pebbly beach. My kids still had a nice time, though one of them hadn't brought her water shoes and wished she had. It started raining around 2pm, so we packed up and took a taxi back to the ship. Overall, it was my least favorite port, even though my kids were still happy to have had a little beach time even with what it was. Read Less
