Did not lake Anchorage. The Captain Cook, while a good hotel is very dark and seems like something out of the 70's. The rooms are very nicely updated, but the overall atmosphere is very dated. Sit on the left side of train to see all the water ways as you go down Make sure you don't eat a lot before you get on the train, the food is so good. We did Anchorage on our own 2 days. We rented a car and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. We loved the Hilton! We caught the city tour at the visitor center, and enjoyed our trolly ride around the city. We had lunch at Humpy's and dinner at Glacier Brewhouse.
