Great tour, great itinerary, good vehicle and driver, but 9 squashed into an 8 seater vehicle in the very hot and humid PNG conditions, on roads that arent the safest.

We did a half day tour and visited a little school where the children danced for us. The school itself was very poor with little Govt assistance, we gave them books etc to help out The children were wonderful. The we visited a village ... Read More

It's a beach area where you can swim & snorkel. Ship anchors and you are tendered in. Has markets, very colourful.

I thoroughly enjoyed going to Alotau, the drums the dancing and singing was more than I expected, it was something I hadn't experienced before. I did find the souvenirs much too expensive to buy, $40 for a 'China Made' t-shirt, is too much. Sarongs were $25 not too bad, but other Islands I have been to they have been either $5, or $10, so a big difference. Wooden souvenirs I did not ask about, as I don't like dealing with Customs back home! Read Less
