Wetherspoons at sea. First cruise with p&o since 2019. Cannot believe the decline in standards. No cabin service in the evening, rationing butter in the restaurants, stained carpets, tatty furnishings, ship was permanently cold (had to wear a coat in the lounges) staff very rushed. Just returned from a wonderful 2 week cruise to the Caribbean, enjoyed every minute. Any holiday is what you make it. Got to visit 9 different islands in 2 weeks. I travelled as a solo woman in her mid 40’s. We have done 5 Caribbean cruises with P&O and this was the least satisfactory. Arvia is a huge ship and seems to have taken P&O distinctly downmarket compared to what we are used to.
