Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Britannia

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary to the Mediterranean and possibility to do this in summer holiday period. We love to sail from Southampton because of its variety of destinations (last year we did cruise from Southampton to Iceland and Greenland with Princess) Embarkation same as the disembarkation went very smoothly no comments there. The fellow passengers were as you would ...

Would not travel on Arcadia again

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arcadia

Lovely ports of call. Good service. Some staff appeared to be very overworked. On the whole good entertainment. Excellent speakers. Headliners could have been better especially the dancers. Had to ask cabin steward for bed changes. Washing machines, coffee machines, toilets all out of order. Buckets in corridor to collect water when it rained. Corrosion evident on many decks. Ship just ...

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Iona

7 night Norwegian fjords cruise. We chose the Iona after sailing on (and thoroughly enjoying) the Arvia's maiden voyage at Christmas. Overall, I would strongly recommend the cruise and the Iona. Pros: - Great ship with loads to do and lots of entertainment options - Shows are usually repeated three times a night so you can do 2 or even 3 in a night easily - Limelight club cabaret ...

Ship was amazing, but you need to take shore excursions to really see the fjords

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Iona

I chose this cruise after spending 2 weeks in the south of France when it was 42 degrees! We will go North I said, let's do a cruise to the Fjords, we won't be too hot there next summer. And how right I was. The weather was dreadful, rained the whole time we were in Norway, but it wasn't too hot to do sightseeing so a good decision to not go south this summer! The ship, the staff, the food, ...

So much could be better

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Azura

Chose this 7-day cruise because of the destinations en route. The "buffet" leaves a lot to be desired - poor choice of dishes, terrible organisation in terms of getting people through, inadequate tea and coffee stations which always lacked simple things like teaspoons, the food was consistently cold and/or dry. One of the main irritations was the captain. Multiple times a day he would make ...

Cruise to Norway, Iceland and Ireland. Itinerary great, the ship not so!!

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Aurora

I chose this cruise as I liked the itinerary. I was dubious about going on the Aurora, but the fact that it was Adult Only helped seal the deal and the price was right. Why was I dubious about the Aurora? This was my 3rd trip on her, my first being in 2019 just before the pandemic. My experience then was great. Good ship, lovely crew, good service and great food choices. Having experienced ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arvia

I booked this cruise in haste after having to cancel a similar itinerary on a smaller ship. When I realised the size of Arvia, I tried to change to another P&O smaller ship, but it was too late. I feared the worst, and, boy, was I right! This ship is a disgrace - Embarkation, endless queues, but not as bad as I had feared, cabin OK, balcony at the front of the ship - But ...

Accessible cruising for the masses

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arvia

We picked Arvia at the last minute to achieve a sunshine family holiday that would fit in with prearranged leave dates and keep two 16 year olds entertained. The fact that she departed from Southampton and saved us from getting flights was a plus. Given these goals the holiday was a success and everyone enjoyed themselves. With one inside and one outside window (no balcony) cabin we achieved value ...

Fabulous Holiday Despite the Sun Bed Hoggers

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arvia

We booked this cruise( despite our misgivings about the size of the ship) as we were joining family who'd already booked. A week or so before we sailed I read some poor reviews and started to have even more misgivings! BUT having paid a lot of money for the cruise we decided we would adjust our mindset and remain positive and determined to have a good holiday. Fortunately the claims that the ...

Lovely ship but perhaps a bit too big

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Iona

It was our first cruise with P&O and also the first time sailing in such a vast ship. The ship is spanking new and looks lovely. It is enormous and so lots of space even when we sailed at capacity. Most of the time it didn't feel crowded. Our cabin at the aft was perfect for our cruise to the Norwegian fjords. We had fabulous panoramic views as we sailed. The weather wasn't that good but we ...
