P&O Cruise Reviews

Just back from a week in the Fjords on the stunning Iona. Our embarkation time was 1pm and our daugther's was 3pm. We were all in the buffet having lunch st 12.05. So no complaints about boarding! The ship had approx 5k guests but did not feel crowded. The open spaces and floor to ceiling windows, across the 3 decks of the atrium, gave a spacious feel. Plenty of space around the ship. We were a family of 7 and had two inside cabins next door to each other, myself, my husband and the two children in one and the older ones in the other these were more than adequate for what we needed which was a bed to sleep in, our steward John was great always very friendly and cheerful. I’ve been cruising before with Royal Caribbean and couldn’t wait to try out Iona. For a newly built ship, I’m surprised how tired it is already looking, but then with the hoards of families and kids abusing it every week I guess it is no surprise. I have only one gripe and that is the arrival time in Malta. Went on Britannia for 14 nights from Southampton. Embarkation was very well organised and smooth,we had a balcony cabin with walk in shower.the food and service was excellent in the MDR but a bit chaotic in the self service buffet.
