Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Iona

Just back from a week in the Fjords on the stunning Iona. Our embarkation time was 1pm and our daugther's was 3pm. We were all in the buffet having lunch st 12.05. So no complaints about boarding! The ship had approx 5k guests but did not feel crowded. The open spaces and floor to ceiling windows, across the 3 decks of the atrium, gave a spacious feel. Plenty of space around the ship. However ...

Disappointed

We bought this cruise for a birthday event. This was our first cruise and after watching a number of cruise programmes on channel 5 I was apprehensive after booking it. We travelled for 5 hours to get to Southampton- we were starving and found there are no facilities at the Port terminal to eat. There was a cafe but it was shut. Embarkation was quick but not easy when you are a first time ...

Fjords was a tick on the bucket list and having not cruised since 2020 we were excited about revisiting P&O onboard one of their newest ships. The ship did definitely not disappoint! Excellent public spaces, lovely decor so many places to visit. Loved the infinity pools and deck 8 hot tubs. Entertainment top class in Headliners theatre,710 club Limelight and Crows Nest. Food absolutely fab in ...

We were a family of 7 and had two inside cabins next door to each other, myself, my husband and the two children in one and the older ones in the other these were more than adequate for what we needed which was a bed to sleep in, our steward John was great always very friendly and cheerful. I have read some of the reviews on here and it makes me wonder what these people expect or what cruise ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Britannia

We did the back to back to the Baltic followed by the trip to Norway. Overall we sailed 3 weeks and had a great time! We are Dutch and prefer PO above AIDA, MSC and Holland America Line. On boarding: Went very very fast, in 20 minutes we were already on board. As we arrived 4 hours later after the Norwegian cruise, a lot of people including us, all wanted to leave the same time with their ...

Low standards, horrifically busy

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Iona

I’ve been cruising before with Royal Caribbean and couldn’t wait to try out Iona. For a newly built ship, I’m surprised how tired it is already looking, but then with the hoards of families and kids abusing it every week I guess it is no surprise. I would avoid a cabin on deck 9 if you have a balcony - the promenade right outside means people can look in, especially if you have a hot tub ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Azura

I have only one gripe and that is the arrival time in Malta. I particularly wanted to visit Malta because I lived there as a small child but the late arrival time of 5pm ( we actually boarded at 8 pm but that was out of P&Os hands) from Gatwick meant we would arrive and sail very shortly afterwards. People who flew from Bristol & Manchester arrived at 11am allowing them to leave the ship and ...

Incredible 1st Cruise

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Iona

We chose this cruise as we are new to cruising, and it seemed a minefield when choosing one to book (still does!) we knew we wanted to go to Norway and we knew we didn’t want a fly-cruise. We came across Iona and fell in love with the look of the ship, more modern than we had seen on other ships doing similar routes and loved the idea of the whirlpools on deck 8. The ship itself is beautiful ...

Went on Britannia for 14 nights from Southampton. Embarkation was very well organised and smooth,we had a balcony cabin with walk in shower.the food and service was excellent in the MDR but a bit chaotic in the self service buffet. The entertainment was good and so was the select restaurants.we did have a bit of a scare when we were hit by a mini hurricane and the ship broke loose from its ...
