Boarding very slow as usual, but same for all ships. Hard to believe they make you tip out your unopened water bottle before you can enter ship.
Entertainment - a bit slack really, the ship crew show was probably the best show up until final entertainer Grant Galea whom was excellent. Ship singers and dancers two shows were OK, but male singer voice was not so great.
Other late night shows ...
We originally chose this cruise just as a quick cruise to take our grandchild along for some time away, and the price was great.
After booking discovered it was The Elvis Tribute Cruise, this made us a bit worried as not Elvis fans, and 13y old grandchild didn't even know who it was.
But we were so happy with the entertainment by the Elvis singers and backup bands even our granddaughter ...
I have been on many cruises, however outstanding service on the pacific explorer - from food service, entertainment and housekeeping the explorer was great!
A big thanks to Thomas Naulana who did a brilliant job in housekeeping - second to none. I would walk in the room after a clean and was extremely satisfied with this. Not only did he do a great job with this he also helped me with any ...
3 night Comedy Cruise to nowhere
Many time cruisers on many different ships and cruise lines. Cruised with P and O once prior. Expectations were not high and in some areas this cruise exceeded and others very let down. Fine for 3 nights. Would need to lift their game for longer. This cruise was all about our 11 year old granddaughter and for her it was wonderful.
Ship decor...absolutely ...
It was the first cruise after a long pause and after many cancelled bookings we had to be on this one.
Our previous cruise was on Ruby Princess in Feb of 2020 so our wait wasn't as long as it was for others but being able to cruise again gave us a sense of freedom that we can now actually resume our lives.
The covid rules were obvious and while different didnt take away from the enjoyment of ...
This cruise was the first one back and I was so eager to get back on a cruise ship. I cruised solo on this trip.
I have to confess that P&O aren't my favourite cruiseline, but after 27 months since my last cruise, I felt I had to be on this one. And I am glad I did.
The atmosphere and crew were awesome. It was heavenly to feel the motion of the sea once more. Service was good, BUT I ...
As this was the first cruise after a two year break I booked this cruise on a whim and glad I did.
The ship looked beautiful inside. The furniture and décor was bright and new looking. I think the ship may have been only 70% full due to Covid protocols which made it pleasant at the bars and much easier to find a seat to relax.
We had lunch at Angelo's, Dragon Lady and Waterfront and ...
We went on this cruise as a large family group, 13 people across 4 cabins, as the dates and length of cruise suited everyone.
I have been on the P&O Eden once and the Carnival Legend (twice) before.
Highlights of the Aria - kids club, both turtle cove and shark shack, the staff were terrific and the events they held across the ship were great fun.
The Edge, lasertag and zip line, we had ...
We chose this cruise because we were looking for a getaway from the kids for a week, and to see Tasmania.
We stayed in Melbourne for 2 days prior to leaving. The weather was nice until it was time for us to sail. It became rough with gale force winds. We left port over 12 hours late. Then the first day at sea was very rough. Almost half the ship out with sea sickness.
Embarking was easy, as ...
My daughter had been on Carnival and Princess Cruises. She wanted us all to go on one together. A lovely ship with the majority of staff that were just so friendly. Room decor a bit dated and the windows had obviously seen many days at sea so they looked dirty although they weren't. Very spacious, a/c worked great. It was the last voyage from Brisbane as it will remain in Melbourne for a bit of ...
