Queen bed. Note the drawers on the right. They could not open the whole way because they were so close to the bed.

Designed Take Your Money + Poor Experience

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Pacific Encounter

I have been on quite a few cruises and this has definitely been the worst, it was only a 4 night cruise and i had a suite but I couldn't wait to get off the boat. Everything on this cruise is designed to take your money, especially the dining. The free dining is so poor (buffet is terrible and extremely small) that you are forced to buy food just to get a nice meal. In addition to this, the ...

remember......you get what you pay for. it's an old rusty ship, some things were ok but food was the worst we have ever encountered on a cruise ship. In the main dining room- same menu every night, pie n chips, fish n chips, spaghetti bol, parmigiana n chips, etc ect. offered a caesar salad with option to pay an extra $4.50 for chicken ! never seen that before from the standard menu. The whole ...

WORST CRUISE EVER !!!

Singularly the worst cruise i've ever been on, and i've been many, with more booked this year. The good points.. The ship was clean and the staff were great - particularly the cabin crew we had. But.. The food was disgraceful.. All complimentary areas were cheap slop - heavily cooked mince or shredded meat pieces in sloppy vegetables or god knows what. And for a piece of fish? Cheap, deep ...

First cruise. Not too bad, but not outstanding. The absolute highlight onboard is the staff. All staff are extremely hard working, polite and professional. This is from the cleaners to the entertainers. People like the cruise director are fun and don't mind being silly to get a laugh from passengers. Being our first cruise, we were a little overwhelmed on boarding and there are no clear ...

Cruised with our family of 16,14 of them first time cruisers. Chose a short cruise, close to home incase anyone didn't enjoy cruising. The weather was pretty good, fairly calm seas, and everyone enjoyed it (seeing nobody wanted to get off). Kid's aged 9 to 16, were kept busy all day. Gatsby night was really good, dance floor a little small, but the evening was very entertaining. The Bianco ...

Since our last PO cruises 8yrs ago PO standards have dropped to below par. This was our 4th time using PO Aust. So many add ons and sales on board to get the passengers spending more money. It seemed there was always someone from some department trying to get you to sign up or upgrade. They would approach you while eating, ordering drinks, walking past them, leaving ship etc. The ...

Worst cruise imaginable - You have been warned

Wow, P&O, you absolutely ruined my holiday, 2 weeks and my hard eared cash down the drain because of your corporate greed for profit over customer satisfaction. We will never set foot on a P&O ship ever again. We have sailed five times with other cruise companies, namely, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. Decided to give P&O a try as pricing was very competitive. What a huge mistake, it was ...

A great ship that really caters for our whole family. All the common areas are thought out, and the flow of the ship felt easier and better designed that some other brands worldwide. I was travelling as a single parent with two pre-teen kids, who made great friends on our sailing! We met loads of new friends at every part of our cruise - so social, friendly and inclusive! The public areas were ...

Staff on ship very serious and not very friendly. The carpets were smelly, There was water dripping from the light fittings outside the lifts on deck 15. Cabin stewards not very friendly. My suitcase had been gone through by cabin staff. Bed linen not changed. Rooms not vaccuumed , Mould on bathroom tiles. Strong smell of marijuana on smoking decks. (Deck 7) The smoking area on deck 15 ...

After losing my father recently, we thought it would be good to take mum away for a few days. Disappointing is an understatement - Pros- Singers & dancers were very good Sailaway party and theme nights are good. Even though you cant swing a cat in the room, the bed was comfy. Cons- Ship is in very poor condition, paint peeling, tiles around the pool are broken, stains on the ceilings, ...
