My extended family and I paid very close to $20,000 for this cruise to New Zealand. In addition, my siblings had travelled from Europe for what was supposed to be a meaningful, therapeutic and pleasant experience. We had lost both parents to Covid and this was the first time we had reunited - we were looking forward to a magical New Zealand cruise experience.
It was far from magical. The lack ...
We chose this cruise due to the itinerary plus as it left from Adelaide it saved the hassle of travelling interstate. It was a 14 night cruise to New Zealand.
Be very cautious with P&O pricing - our cabin ranged from a price of $1400pp down to as low as $550 on discount and we paid $1100pp on a special fare but it did not come with a price match. Even if you book early then you dont seem to get ...
We had a mini suit. It was pathetic. Old and dated. The staff excellent.
The food was average and mostly warm to cold. The pantry was fine but very limited in food selection. The staff excellent.
Tried Luke Mangan restaurant, food so so but once again staff excellent.
Tried the pizza restaurant 400gradi and I must say it was excellent including staff. Went back a couple of times it was ...
We choose P&O because wanted to check P&O out, we boarded at Brisbane International Cruise Terminal (very sad about this Terminal). Ship was great as being an old Princess ship it has the Princess layout. Loved the centre of the ship with the different levels, the theather was nice an roomy. Dining rooms were a good size. There is nothing wrong with a budget cruise but even as a budget cruise ...
I've done 20 fantastic cruises with other companies . This one was HORRIBLE!! PLEASE READ.
Chose this cruise for Komodo island but destination was cancelled months before. I still went as thought I'd enjoy sauna facilities. Day 1 of cruise was told sauna/steam facilities will not work for entire cruise. Another couple on board said they were on previous cruise to Australia Singapore and ...
Quite a few years ago we took a trip to PNG on the Golden Princess. It was a tired old ship and with its bird beak bow, rear end that made it look like a shopping trolley and a bridge held up by two poles it looked a rather comical. Also it was a bit of a rabbit warren and had a small badly designed buffet area.
Two and a half years ago we noticed that P&O Australia had a cruise planned for PNG ...
We have been on a couple of P&O Cruises and realise it is a budget cruise line but feel it has gone down another notch.Compared to other cruises there seem to be more passengers and less public space which made the cruise hectic rather than relaxing. At the end of the day would only go P& O again if the itinerary was very special.
The Good
Staff were friendly and mostly very efficient but we ...
My sister and I chose this cruise as it was a short cruise and just perfect for trying out cruising. We were not disappointed, the crew and staff were so polite and helpful. Our cabin steward Kurt was on top of everything in our cabin and we didn't have to ask for anything. We attended and enjoyed all the entertainment we could. The Kangaroo Island tour was the highlight of the cruise for us, the ...
Booking: Booking was reasonably smooth. We weren't allocated our cabin until the day before which was fine. The day before setting sail, we were told we weren't cruising the Fiords of NZ due to biosecurity issues. We accepted that and P&O credited all passengers $50 to spend on board for that day of cruising. With the pre-booking process of listing dietary requirements or allergies, there was only ...
First time back cruising after Covid. Wanted to dip our toes in to see how it was. And I was pleasantly surprised. We had booked a Byron Bay Mini Suite because I wanted to try out the club area. But a week before the cruise we were given an upgrade to a Suite. Don’t know why? But hey, I’ll take it.
I had read all the reviews on this forum and was a bit concerned about what we would find. But it ...
