We visited England, Wales, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Every day was busy with tours and some free time to wander around.
The ship was very clean and modern. Our cabin was listed as an obstructed view but it wasn't. It was on the walking deck so people walked by and at some ports the exit was very close. Service onboard was excellent and most staff called us by name ...
My sister and her friends have traveled many times with Overseas Adventure Travel and encouraged us to come along with them for this trip. The trip was postponed twice due to the pandemic and then the Russian war on Ukraine, but despite that we were very happy with the entire experience. The accommodations both on and off the ship were excellent. The food was absolutely outstanding! The almost ...
I wanted to go to French and Italian Rivieras. This trip was perfect for us. I really loved all the ports that we visited. I liked the local guides for different ports. They were knowledgeable. At places, we used Farries. They were all GOOD AND COMFORTABLE.
The staff, the Caption, Ship Manager, the Chef and his kitchen staff on ARTEMIS were very friendly and courteous. I had the same caption ...
We chose this cruise because it was a small ship with only 50 passengers. It might have been small, but it was large and grand in services, amenities, staff, cuisine, congeniality, caring and warmth. We were able to pull directly into all ports in all destinations in Croatia, Albania, and Greece.
In every way it exceeded our expectations.
All of my food allergies were addressed by the chef ...
We chose this particular cruise for two reasons: it was going to ports that we had not visited previously and really wanted to see, and because it was a small ship (98 passengers). The fact that it was provided by OAT (Overseas Adventure Travel) sealed the deal for we have had very positive experiences with them and their "parent/sister" company Grand Circle Travel. This trip truly lived up to ...
I wanted to see Rome and Venice since previous trips to these locations had been cancelled. What I got was so much more. The wonders of Pompeii, the challenge of Mt Etna, the cooling waters in sweltering heat... We touched 20 ports with interesting shore excursions at each location.
The crew was exceptional, catering to our every need. They knew our names the first day since there were only ...
We cruised with overseas Adventure Travel and loved the ship.
The food on board really emphasized the food of the region, and the chef was delightful. He really cared that people liked what he served.
The cabin was nicer than expected. It was very well designed and comfortable.
We had a small balcony-we were traveling in March and it was cool so we didn’t use it as much as we would ...
We chose this cruise because it went up the Eastern Coast of Italy from Malta to Venice in 17 days. (or vice-versa)
It was called the Undiscovered Adriatic and it was! Malta is a jewel and a good starting point for us. Then up the coast to local towns with many UNESCO stops along the way. Too many highlights to mention here.
The ship is small only 50 passengers. There are 2 trip ...
We just returned from a week on the Athena leaving from Athens to 6 of the Greek islands and Ephesus Turkey. Before leaving I read the Cruise Critic review of the Athena, fairly positive, and the reviews of two who had sailed on the Athena, quite negative. So having done many Crystal Cruises it was with mixed emotions and low expectations that we ventured forth.
The embarkation process was set ...
This was my 3rd trip with Grand Circle. My previous trips were a land trip (England, Scotland and Wales) and a riverboat trip (Cruising Burgundy to Cote d'Azur). I loved the two trips mentioned above but didn't feel like this recent trip (the Grand Baltic Sea Voyage) was worth the money. Given the expense of this trip ($9000), I had VERY high expectations since I saved three years to go. ...
