Outstanding food and service; small cabins

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Insignia

This was our fourth cruise on Oceania, and second on the Insignia. Check-in in Los Angeles was a breeze, and I had no trouble bringing on board 6 bottles of good quality wine, for which I payed the high corkage fee of $25 per bottle; yet I would do this again considering the very high prices they charge for wine. Food in all the restaurants and buffet was outstanding, and service was excellent, ...

Do NOT rent Owners Suite #7114 on Sirena

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Sirena

Decided to take a cruise on Oceania Sirena due to the itinerary to Cuba. It was suppose to make three stops but due to water conditions one stop was removed. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and wanted to have a nice room - rented Owners suite #7114 and #7117 for my daughter. Our room was a great size, but on most nights we could not sleep in the room. When the captain had the ...

Don't do it!

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Sirena

Don't listen to any hype on this line. Food is horrible, way too salty. Boat is falling apart, broken drawers, no remote control worked, pool rusty and tiles falling out. NOTHING to do...all guest under the age of 80 hated it and couldn't wait to get off. Sub par shows where entertainers went through the motions. Most staff were good...2 stated to us the were board. No music, no life, no ...

True service only offered on upper class suites

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

This is my second cruise on Oceania and true to form all of the amenities they mention and all of the service they brag about is truly only available on their concierge suites or higher. If you are in a regular room you will not get the best service or opportunities on the boat. A couple of examples. They rave about their great "specialty" restaurants. Priority is given to the upper suite ...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Regatta

We have cruised with other lines, Cunard, Celebrity, Azamara and wanted to try Oceania as we had heard the food was so good.....they did not disappoint, but more of that later. Also we have been to Alaska before but not Sitka or Prince Rupert. We made our own arrangements for hotels and stayed near English bay, got a taxi to the port which was $11. Embarkation was the easiest we have ever had, ...

Some highs and lows, but mostly highs

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

We chose Oceania because of its reputation, and the smaller size of ship which allowed a more port-intensive cruise (No "at-sea" days in the Baltic). We spent more money than we normally would and booked Oceania Suite 11080 - about 1,000 square feet at the back of the ship, with a wraparound balcony. It was our first Oceania cruise after 3 Celebrity cruises + 3 river cruises (2 with Viking ...

Best trip we've had

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

We picked this cruise mostly because of the itinerary. We wanted at least 3 days in St. Petersburg and this one gave us that, and also allowed us to see some of the less visited Baltic ports. There were no sea days and we were off the boat every day. It was an amazing trip. We did Oceania tours for three ports (Tallinn, Helsinki & Warnemunde) and Alla Tours for St. Petersburg, Riga, ...

Not what I expected

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Nautica

I chose this cruise based on the destinations and more importantly on the recommendation of previous Oceania cruisers. The ship was fine although it seemed to be ready for refurbishing. The food was okay, but not as special as I had anticipated. Desserts were the most disappointing aspect of the food train. They seemed bland and unimaginative. I heard several complaints about the lack of or ...

Plain Vanilla, with Lost Opportunities

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Sirena

Overall, a tight ship with nice amenities and pleasant servers, but disappointing in some respects; and not particularly good value for the money. Our cabin, dubbed a “Penthouse Suite,” was certainly nice and roomy, but it was neither a penthouse nor a suite. The butler service was nice, but the butler himself gave a rather grumpy reception to all but the most basic requests. Excursions ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Riviera

Overall best cruising experience I've ever had. Definitely got my money's worth. I was a bit concerned first with some of the negative reviews I read; but this company is top notch. Is it perfect? No, what is?....but they come pretty dam close! A few things that really stood out for me: Organization and logistics. They think of everything, when embarking, dispatching tours, etc. Being a ...
