Check-in in Los Angeles was a breeze, and I had no trouble bringing on board 6 bottles of good quality wine, for which I payed the high corkage fee of $25 per bottle; yet I would do this again considering the very high prices they charge for wine. This is my second cruise on Oceania and true to form all of the amenities they mention and all of the service they brag about is truly only available on their concierge suites or higher. We chose Oceania because of its reputation, and the smaller size of ship which allowed a more port-intensive cruise (No "at-sea" days in the Baltic). We picked this cruise mostly because of the itinerary. We wanted at least 3 days in St. Petersburg and this one gave us that, and also allowed us to see some of the less visited Baltic ports. There were no sea days and we were off the boat every day. It was an amazing trip.

Overall, a tight ship with nice amenities and pleasant servers, but disappointing in some respects; and not particularly good value for the money.
Our cabin, dubbed a “Penthouse Suite,” was certainly nice and roomy, but it was neither a penthouse nor a suite. The butler service was nice, but the butler himself gave a rather grumpy reception to all but the most basic requests.
