Expensive but worth the experience

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

I planned the cruise 3 weeks ahead of time for spring break with my husband. We both have never been on a cruise. We disembarked from our port hours later than expected but we didn’t care exploring the ship was fun. The cruise went from NY to Port Carnaval FL, great stirrup cay and Nassau Bahamas. Total of 7 nights. We arrived late for every port, coming back home we were early. Here’s some ...

This was a sister trip planned to celebrate our college graduation as we both completed our bachelors degree a month apart. It was our first time on a cruise ever and I chose Norwegian based on word of mouth. We had the experience of a lifetime and I would do it all over again if we could. The Norwegian app kept us on our toes as we had something to do every hour of the day. The staff was ...

TERRIBLE Service, sub par food

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Gem

I chose to do a cruise out of Boston to Bermuda because we live in NH and it seemed easy - just Uber to Boston and Uber home. I don't typically love cruises, I've been on maybe 10 in my life but I have found as I have gotten older I am pickier about my vacations and cruising just always seemed like a "cattle call" to me. However, I have a 14 year old and was traveling with just him, so this seemed ...

Terrific crew help cover faults on Norwegian Gem

My first experience with Norwegian Cruise Line was negative and I approached the Gem with low expectations. Happily, this cruise was miles better than the last and I'm looking at NCL in a new way. The Gem had some misses but overall we had a great cruise. The main reason was the crew - a friendly, hard-working group who seemed happy to help in any way. The Gem itself is a very comfortable ship. ...

We chose the cruise because it was out of Boston, and we live nearby so we did not have to take an airplane to get to the ship. Our Boston embarkation and disembarkation experiences were excellent, quick and easy. After boarding the ship we learned that bottled water was not included in our drink package and any drinks on the package ordered while in the port of Boston were subject to a ...

Go with Carnival if you want to have a fun time and great food. Specially if you have kids. Let’s start with embarkation on the Gem. We had to wait because the rooms weren’t ready. Why? I mean didn’t they expect us? My son and I wanted to drop off our things and then explore and eat. We couldn’t. As soon as I walked in it was dead. Nothing exciting. I actually fell asleep for a little on the ...

I bought this cruise as a gift for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday. I thought it would be a perfect little getaway plus the open bar included sealed the deal. We arrived at the boat around noon and the embarkation was a breeze. The next day we were SUPPOSED to be at their private island which was what we were most excited about. We woke up the next morning to the captain saying it was too choppy to ...

It had Open Bar that saved us a lot of money! It was so clean and the staff was so nice! All the other cruises we've been on we needed sea sick pills. This was so smooth you didn't even know you were in the water on a boat! We loved it. It wasn't too long of a trip. Just the right amount of time. If I were to go again I would go again on Norwegian. The price was low compared to other cruises. I ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

With over 15 cruises on various ships and companies, we decided to take the NCL Pearl from Tampa to New York 9 April 19 with some close friends. First impressions are often lasting impressions. Early impression embarkation was very inefficient. We were asked to be at the ship at 11:00 which had us in line to board the boat for about 60 minutes. Then allowed to board our rooms were not available ...

Cruise left out of Brooklyn, NY to Fla, Bahamas, and Bermuda. Port of departure appealing as was the itinerary with 2 days in Bermuda. Since the ship arrived to NY around noon with no passengers and was not scheduled to depart till 10:30pm, this allowed for a nice stretched out embarkation process. The Brooklyn Cruise Terminal was fantastic, the employees seemed happy to see us and assist us, we ...
