I've been on 20+ cruises and this is my 7th NCL cruise to Bermuda. So many of the fun aspects of cruising have disappeared in NCL's most recent exercise in corporate greed. I think it's time for me to take a break from NCL. So many passengers I spoke with informed me that Royal Caribbean and even the newer Carnival ships are a much better experience than this NCL Gem cruise.
* First of all, ...
We just got back from a wonderful 11 day cruise!! The Prima is a very beautiful ship, easy to get around, certainly the good outweighs the bad!! I don't understand all the negativity as we found all the crew very happy, smiling & very friendly!! Food in the Hudson's & Commodore rooms mostly very enjoyable a couple times an issue had to be resolved, but it was done quickly & satisfying!! Our ...
My traveling companions and I stayed in 2 room balcony suites at the front of the ship. The cabins were spacious and well equipped. We had excellent service from our steward and butler. My only disappointment with the ship was that it was not always easy to find areas to relax. When we were looking for areas to lounge with a drink, we often had to wander around the ship to find open spaces. ...
I hate to do this because I have had several great experiences with NCL but this cruise was HORRIBLE and a huge disappointment.
Our itinerary change was announced after we set sail despite rumors and reports it was going to be changed before sailing. No fault of their own since they can’t control the weather, so I don’t have a complaint about that. They made good on offering a 20% discount ...
This was my first experience with a cruise and it definitely made me feel that I should never do it again. Everything On this ship is a pay wall and definitely not worth it for the quality of what you get…even In The crappiest hotels , I could watch tv and use Wi-Fi without having to buy a damn package as if the cost of the cruise wasn’t expensive enough. The food was horrible , the activities ...
First of all- this site is FULL of complainers. Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. 4.5 review for us. We loved our experience on this ship! We don’t expect 100% perfection. Here are our pros and cons:
Pros- Beautiful clean new ship, spacious balcony room, comfy beds, OBSERVATION LOUNGE deck 15- with huge windows and drinks and snacks almost always available- and tons of seating- we ...
Firstly…service was terrible. Fake smiles, eye rolling thinking I didn’t see. Could never find a waiter by pool area. Surprise charges on my bill and when asked to explain they seemed irritated that I ask. Saw my cabin steward twice. Room was never cleaned properly.
Food was tasteless, and same most days.
Drinks were mixed differently all the time. Some made with vodka when it should have ...
First time on Norwegian stayed in The Haven. Highly recommend staying in The Haven even though it is not adults only. The ship was very crowded. It happened to be spring break time and there were A LOT of kids. Norwegian seems to be advertising and promoting families with kids/teens. Choose your week carefully. The excursions were okay. The Jeep and Safari in Costa Maya was very misleading. ...
The Epic is by far the worst ship in the Norwegian line. This cruise it was loaded down with about 4300 passengers. I was totally incapable of accommodating this number of passengers. The lines were endless and everywhere. A number of things did not work. Average wait time for a drink on the pool deck 20 minutes. Finding a chair impossible. Finding a seat in the buffet, almost impossible. ...
This was the absolute worst cruise I have ever experienced. The rooms on the Epic were shabby and smelly. The food options were horrible. The staff members were rude, entertainment options were all substandard. The staff working at the Garden Cafe and horrible parents allowed their children to play in the buffet food. Adults were filling their personal water bottles at the public water fountain ...
