We did the Sokkie cruise from 08 to 11 March 2019....which was supper...mostly white Afrikaans speaking passengers onboard which all like the Afrikaans Sokkie Music.. so the vibe on the ship was great.. Cruising these days are not cheap any more and we staying in Pretoria so to travel to Dbn and back is also costing a lot. Therefor to make it worthwhile we decided to do the back to back cruise. ...
I read lots of reviews when deciding on booking this and lots worried me so I was very nervous of how much we would enjoy it...so my review below I hope will help answer the initial questions I had, without duplicating all the other reviews you will read .....im not a complete novice as have done Cunard Queen Victoria cruises before.
Embarkation was excellent...slick, friendly welcoming and ...
We spent two weeks on the Seaside in the Yacht Club. This was our 3rd Yacht Club cruise and we had an amazing experience. The Yacht Club Top Sail Lounge, restaurant and pool area are never crowded and well staffed. The ever changing snacks in the Top Sail lounge were delish, menus in the restaurant were varied with yummy servings and the grill by the pool food was fresh and convenient. Our ...
My family and I, including grandparents, recently cruised on the MSC Seaside last week. My kids are 16, 15, 13. We had a fantastic time on board and would definitely do this cruise again. In fact it may be hard to go back to other cruise lines as this ship has set the bar high. Our itinerary included, Ochos Rios, Grand Caymen, Costa Maya, Cozumel. Here's my thoughts on the ship/ itinerary. ...
We sailed the MSC Seaside last year, and chose to sail it again because we cruised with friends who found an amazing price for a room needing to hold 5 people.
We again had a Fantastica Balcony, deck 13 and our friends were upgraded from an interior wellness room to balcony suite with jacuzzi, deck 15. Our room and steward were great. I am a big guy (6'2" - 230lbs) and found the shower a ...
This was a last minute decision to try a different cruise line. We normally sail with Royal Carribean and love it.
The Seaside was a beautiful ship was that was about it. The ship is not kept clean like others, public restrooms, as little as they had were disgusting and not kept very clean. All soaps on the ships, including your cabins was watered down, no suds at all. No bars of soaps in your ...
We booked this cruise for the great price. I then started reading reviews and began thinking we had made a mistake. People had stated poor food, poor service, awful waits for bar service etc... so my attitude going in became that any cruise is better than no cruise. We have cruised with Carnival, Princess and Royal Caribbean and always have had a great time on our cruises. Like I said earlier ...
We wanted to experience a cruise on a mega ship and we were not disappointed. From the easy check-in to the disembarkation, our journey and destinations were fabulous. The ship was immaculate, our cabin comfy and clean, very, very quiet and the meals were delicious. Even through the sea days were crowded, we managed to find abundant sitting areas to relax and enjoy the “roll-free” relaxation of ...
2 week cruise. We arrived in Miami and boarded the ship. Embarkation was smooth after a long journey. That was appreciated. Didn’t like the mandatory photo as we arrived on board. We looked awful after such a long journey.
The ship was beautiful and staff did an immense job keeping it clean. The ship was so glamorous. We enjoyed that. We felt privileged.
The cabin, IMO, was somewhat tired ...
I would have given MSC Seaside a higher rating but for the day before disembarking I found a bar (from the Miami Beach pool) on my tab. Not only did I never go up there, but I also had the beverage package. Being the last evening, I had to stand in line for nearly an hour at guest services. There was actually a paper bill they could print, with two drinks on it and a squilly line for a ...
