A little LESS each time

Sail Date: March 2012
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Miami
Just got off our 5th cruise with Carnival. Normally we do a 7 night Caribbean, but this time was a 4 night, because we had our 2 children with us.

After sailing with Carnival 5 times now, it seems like each cruise offers less and less each time... it might be time to try another cruise line.

*Camp Carnival (childrens program). Staff were fun & energetic. Kids loved it and came out with toys, painted faces, other fun goodies. They really exceeded my expectations here.

*Staff: From our waiter to our room steward, and most everyone else - they were all friendly and talkative and smiling. It's a very welcome atmosphere.

*Embarkation: Seems more organized than ever. Got onto the ship very easily and in short time.

*Decor: This ship has been refurbished, and the copper feel is really attractive!

*Buffets: The food gets worse and worse each cruise. Disgusting powdered eggs and paper thin bacon. Smaller More selections of foods and fruits. Desserts were mostly tasteless. They should put the upscale restaurants on ALL their ships (where you pay extra fee for better food).

*Entertainment: The shows were average. Though their sound and lighting were great, I bet you a high school could put better talent on stage. ALSO - they seem to be oblivious that young kids are watching the early show: some of the outfits on the ladies were too revealing and the men wearing belts like fake penises waving them around.

*Casino: There is this game called "CASINO VAULT" which offers you the chance to command a key with a joystick to win up to $500 cash + iPad. The game is FIXED... I watched and noticed how the plunging key released immediately when you got it wrong, but if you got it in the right place, there would be a delay until it went out of range and you still lost. Boatloads of drunk people all cruise long pouring cash into a non-winning game. STAY AWAY from it. Less

Cabin review: 4F8310 Interior

This was a typical inside stateroom, and there was nothing out of the ordinary to note either positive or negative.
