Over all it was a good cruise. My GF and I landed in Orlando the day before and stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel, which, surprisingly, was a very good stay, clean room, nice view and lots to do if we had our kids with us. Ill try and go step by step to paint a picture of the cruise.

Prior to embarkation, we had to drop off our rental. When we pulled in there seemed to be about 70 people outside waiting on transfer to the boat. Holy crap. While the GF stayed in the cool car, I stood in line to drop off my key. I noticed that the people outside where getting antsy, and the rental place only had at first a van to transport people, then later got a small 15pax bus to take them. I saw a young couple getting into a taxi. A light turned on (BING) take a taxi. GF and I caught a ride with a young couple from Wisconsin getting on the Carnival Ecstasy (our first boat on our first cruise). Bam, 10 bucks later, plus tip, we were at the port.

Embarkation-From the time of getting out of the taxi till we were on the boat, maybe 15 minutes. You will see that I made a lot of mental notes for our next cruise. My first mental note was, come to the ship about midway through embarkation, it was way fast. The people at the counter were wonderful, friendly and fast. A card swipe here, a photo there, and we were on the boat. Walking onto the Sun, my first thought was "Wow, the atrium is beautiful." We were hungry cause for breakfast we had a Snickers bar and a slug of Rum, and it didn't help much. So we went to the MDR, and had a wonderful lunch and made some of our last calls before the ship left port. It was close to 1300, so we decided to kind of tour the ship, and maybe see if by luck, our stateroom was ready. Wow, was it ready. My first thought was that it was bigger than our stateroom on the Spirit. I quickly found out why when I opened the bathroom. Very small, but I was ok with it, and so was GF. I could see taller and bigger people having issues with the shower though. A bathroom does not make or break a cruise. The room was clean, spacious and I loved the wood they used to make the cabinets.
