I discovered this site shortly before taking this cruise and found it to be so helpful that I promised myself I would write a review when we returned. Here goes:
This was my 4th, my husband's 2nd cruise; we have had a rough year and needed a break so we just planned the cruise in February and took it in March - I had always thought I could get a great "last minute deal" but didn't find that to really be the case. Having travelled on Princess and Celebrity before, I was a little skeptical about Costa but for the price difference decided to go for it.
We booked a Panoramic Suite - and we were so happy with it. Balcony was not very much larger than a regular balcony, but there was nice redwood type furniture out there with a chair and a lounger and table and it was very comfortable. The room itself was fabulous - jacuzzi tub, double sinks (the bathroom is larger than mine at home), nice little "extras" such as a magnifying/shaving mirror attached to the wall; tin cannisters full of lotions, soaps, etc., dressing table and closet in private little room off of the bathroom; loads of closets and drawers, etc. Also had a couch and chair with a marble coffee table; the decor was beautiful, one wall totally mirrored. The only bad thing I can say about the room is that the bed was hard as a rock and the pillows were horrible, but my husband and I are pretty hard to please in that area.
