We, a child-free couple, have traveled quite a bit. But we wanted something different. Travelling to resorts got boring very quickly, whether we went to expensive or cheap resorts, it didn't matter.
My parents went on a cruise last year and invited us to come along on their next cruise. So we did. A trip to the Canary Islands with the Norwegian Jade.
After a quick hop to Barcelona, we boarded the jade in the late morning. We arrived early so it wasn't too busy. We had to wait before we could get into our rooms, so we picked a place on the rear deck, had a few drinks and enjoyed the sun a little. Later that day we got permission to go to our rooms. The mini-suite was a little too small for our taste, but big enough to spent a little bit of time in.
A long room that could be wider. Don't expect much sun on the balcony, since the deck above it protrudes. The beds are quite comfortable. The access to the main closet is however obstructed by the bed. There is enough cupboard space.
The rooms have one European socket and two American. In the bathroom there is a separate socket for a shaver. There is a hairdryer in the room, a mini fridge, a couch with a table. Two chairs on the balcony.
TV: a few news channels, information channels and one movie channel.
For the rest there are a lot of mirrors in the room that make it look quite spacious.
The toilets are in the bathroom but have a door that can be used to close it off. The shower/bath also has a sliding door to close it from the rest.
You receive at the beginning of the cruise a towel set for the pool. You will only be given one set that you can replace. Of the other towels, there are enough.
