Living on the west coast there is an ease with travelling out of the California ports. In this case we spent a day exploring Los Angeles sites that we had never made a priority when visiting previously. So, driving through the Beverley Hills and Hollywood, having dinner at Beverly Hills, lunch at In/out burger was all doable!.(and purchasing wine for on board pleasure was a snap!)
We became Prince Platinum members and we were very appreciated of the quick check in and entry to the ship. We had an Aloha deck balcony cabin which meant ease to the Sun deck! There had been much hype around the upgrades to the Piazza, and since it had only occurred three weeks prior, we were very pleased with the service the new features presented. Simply said the execution at The International Cafe and Vines were flawless and at a level we enjoyed on the Emerald last year. (Good on the Rui, the Maitre D', for having that accomplished)
We do anytime dining and choose the Savoy as our restaurant of choice. We were very welcomed by a team of two great Waiters; Gabrielle and Milan. These two were very intent on making our meals enjoyable, great suggestions, good conversation and flawless execution. Gabrielle also worked the International dining room at breakfast where he served us, but Milan would visit from his work area to say Hi. Great guys- great employees and we gladly gave the accolades!.
Adequate space, good balcony, balcony may be shaded by deck above. Balcony is very private! The room is close to aft elevators and stairwells. Off this deck is the aft pools and bars.
