Carnival Glory Cruise Review by surge7264
- Sail Date: February 2012
- Destination: Western Caribbean
- Cabin Type: Ocean View
Once on board Glory, the staff was intent on ensuring a restful, relaxing, fun week. Drink servers were attentive to our needs and never pushy -- Thanks Darba, Pio, and Emanual! Drink prices were reasonable and the drinks were no watered down.
Food was abundant throughout the ship and throughout the week. Buffets were well-stocked and positioned at various points across the ship. The Pizza Parlor served a steady, tastey variety of pizzas. Evening dinner for us was the late seating and our service staff was top notch. Food was very tastey and again plentiful. If anyone wanted more all they had to do was ask.
Our room staff was also quick, efficient and professional. Our room was spic and span each and every day.
My first experience and that of my wife was = positive!
Port & Shore Excursion Reviews
Beach BreakSpent the better part of 5 hours at Tequila Beach for a flat rate of $30 per person. That included round trip transportation, beach chairs, ocean kayaks, fins, masks, snorkels, and unlimited drinks. A total "blast" had by the 8 of us and what a beach area. Clean, fun, warm water, clean white sand.........what a time we had.View All 221 Beach Break Reviews
ATV AdventureA two-hour ATV ride through some of the Mexican forest/jungle on some of the wettest, most puddled trails I've ever encountered left us dirty, wet below the knees and laughing every minute. A wonderful excursion and time well spent. Followed up the ATV ride with some time at Fat Tuesday's bar -- great entertainment and great drinks. Overall and excellent day in port.View All 67 ATV Adventure Reviews
Stingray SwimWow -- who would have ever imagined a sandbar in the middle of the ocean full of stingrays??!!! We enjoyed the stingray swim and feeding of the stingrays. That was followed by snorkeling on a reef and a reminder of the color which lies beneath the water surface.View All 540 Stingray Swim Reviews
Followed all that up with some quality time at Hammerheads for some drinks and snacks and mingling with the natives -- a great time.
RoatanWe booked a zipline through the canopy and it was awesome. The lushness of Roatan is stunning. So too is the poverty of the people and their housing -- such diametrically opposing views of Honduras as we travelled from port to the zipline area.View All 2,529 Roatan Cruise Port Reviews
