My wife and I took the 2/25 cruise from San Juan with another couple who have no cruise experience. My wife and I have 7 cruises on various lines (1st time with Celebrity) over the last 10 years. Most recent was a Holland cruise Jan 2011.

The Summit needed to be tidied up from the refit in January, paint drippings are everywhere outside, lots of dirty windows, the balcony was pretty dirty for only being at sea one month. The Sky suite was clean, closet more than adequate, the balcony is small. One may be surprised to find a 1' x 4' window with blinds you can't adjust looking into the shower/tub from the room - I guess this allows the person taking a shower to watch TV or the person in the room to watch something else??? On the second night my wife noticed a large dark spot under the pillow cover and removed it to find a large blood spot from a previous guest??? - can't imagine why they wouldn't just throw that pillow away. We placed it on the floor and the steward removed it the next morning.

Re: Food - Overall pretty bland - Cajun steak should be spicy but it tasted like the normal steak on the permanent menu. Most main dishes just lacked any kind of flavor.

Cabin Review

Sky Suite 1

Cabin S1

6100 Sky suite was clean, closet more than adequate, bathroom too small (get rid of the tub and too high of a step), balcony - too small compared to competition, Deck 6 view slightly compromised with life boats being so close.Shuffleboard is located directly below on deck 4 - lots of "clacking" when the game is being played and you're sitting on your balcony
