We really learned a lot from using this website so feel obligated to provide our review! Our group of six had taken several cruises together but none had been to hawaii. Coming from the east coast we struggled with the time change and long trip so not sure that we will make this trip again. That's why it was such a great itinerary. We spent two nts in Honolulu before leaving, and climbed diamond head at sunrise since we were up anyway. It was tough for this over 50 group but we were so glad we did it! We spent one day just driving around the island on our own, which was fun,took a few hours but allowed us to see a lot. Car rental wasnt bad but there is cheap public transportation as well.Then we boarded on Saturday, visited the sports bar to watch some important basketball games and had dinner in specialty restaurant, Jefferson bistro for a sampling of all the restaurants. Good tip I saw on here. We ate there another night as well and ate at buffet a couple of times but ate out whenever wwe stayed in ports long enough. That may seem silly when your meals are paid for but we like to try restaurants and had some great meals on the islands. The food was good though and having been on othe lines, we felt it compared well if not better than the others. Breakfast was great with omelet stations and the small fridg in the room was nice to have even though we didn't use it.

Rooms are small but we are rarely in them and there was a good amount of storage. We enjoyed our balconies immensely! The climate is so nice you can keep your door open and add to room space! We really loved the Toby beau show, best music show we have ever seen on any cruise and the other bars where singers performed were every nice. Didnt see the comedian.We Found the staff to be very nice and enjoyed talking with them,so that was much better than prior reviews had indicated. Really, we are on vacation to be with each other and pretty low maintenance but all agree this was a great trip and we just really a re amazed that more lines aren't doing this trip. Would have hated to spend days at sea just to get to the islands and back to mainland.
