Having read numerous reviews before sailing, and never having traveled with NCL before so I was skeptical of what we might find on board the Norwegian Jewel. We traveled with a group of 8 ranging in age from 7 to 70 and had the BEST family vacation we have ever taken.

The reviews we read were somewhat less than optimistic about the food and the entertainment on the Jewel. I cannot stress enough how wrong those reviews were.

Starting with the food: The standard dining options were abundant, the food was of excellent quality, and the service was impeccable. We went to 4 of the extra dining options: Mama's Kitchen (Italian, and our favorite), Teppanyakki (Japanese Hibachi),Cagney's Steakhouse, and the Sushi Bar. All of these options provided what I would consider to be 5 star meals at a reasonable price, and very much worth the extra $10-$25.

Cabin BC

This is a family cabin and sleeps 4 comfortably. However, it will not sleep 4 adults, but if you are traveling with younger children(below 10) this cabin is a great option.
