Sail Date: Feb 2012

Embarkation: In Long Beach Carnival has separate area and you get to bypass the waiting lines if you are in a suite, so no problem there. Carried on our luggage, cabin ready at 12:30P

Public Rooms: I think the decor is hideous, but it is one of few choices for Mexican Baja anymore. Have never appreciated the Farcus style and this epitomizes it. Everything is really clean and well kept since the reno in 2010. MDR's designed for 2 levels but only using one, hence packed so tightly one can hardly weave in and out to get to your seat. Seems quite dangerous and I wondered if the same configuration was in place on the Costa Concordia, a sister ship of the Carnival Splendor. If so, I can only imagine the terror they must have felt when the ship hit the rock and trying to get out of that DR. Felt uncomfortable in MDR and only ate there one eve and one breakfast.

Fitness Gym and spa nice. Staff helpful and polite. Booked no treatments just spa package at $249 for two and felt it was little high for the quality but still enjoyed.

Cabin Review

Cabin 11

I think it's the best cat. 11 on ship. ADA suite, 450 sq. ft. huge BR, endless storage, long narrow balcony, 3 picture windows looking right out at the sea. Could easily have traveled for a 30 day cruise or even longer in this cabin. Get it if you can.
