Sail Date: Feb 2005

My Wife & I along with my Brothers & wives just returned from a seven day Eastern Caribbean cruise aboard the Carnival Triumph. (Sailing date of Feb.,26 2005.) Before booking this cruise, we did make use of the various reviews available on the Internet. Our experience is somewhere in the middle.

The Triumph is a large ship with lots of people aboard. It is geared toward a younger crowd. There are plenty of activities available during the day and the staff made every effort to keep us posted on those activities. There are contests, dances, shows, exercise classes, talent shows and, of course, excursions. With over 3,000 people on board, it can get crowded in places. On the days at sea when the weather was wonderful, it was hard to find an empty deck chair on the open decks. Our first day(following the posted rules) we didn't reserve a deck chair, after that we laid our towels on the deck chair for the day. Guest's where out as early as 6am to reserve chairs.

The choice of music was good the first day or two. The music along with the drinks made for a good start. But hearing the same songs EVERY DAY for 7 days is to much.
