This was my first cruise, so I started out small with a 4-nighter to Cozumel. In short, I loved it. Our stateroom with a balcony was nice and in a great location - forward right. The stateroom is small but big enough for the little time you spend in it.
Just 2 of us went and we pre-ordered a 7-bottle wine package. This was definitely the way to go. We saved 25% for ordering in advance. They also had a nice selection of wines. They even had a riesling on the menu. That is often hard to come by. We were able to get a bottle of wine during any mealtime in the dining rooms. We could drink at the table or take it with us. We took advantage of this one day and grabbed a bottle to sit by the pool. Our travel agent also left us a bottle of wine in our stateroom. We tried to switch out this chardonnay for a pinot grigio but they wouldn't let us. They tried to switch it out for a rose. I'm not sure how that's even in the same category but oh well.
The food was excellent in the dining rooms. We never had a bad meal or complaint. We ate the formal dinners in the Tides dining room and ate lunch and breakfast at the Windjammer. We also took advantage of the pizza in the solarium. The only complaint we had about the food was the room service. We ordered breakfast in one morning and the food was cold and tasteless. We ended up going to the Windjammer.
Our balcony stateroom was #8426. Spacious enough for two people and had a nice size balcony. It was in a nice location on the boat - forward right - and close to the main elevators. Our attendant was great. Our room was cleaned twice a day and we had plenty of towels.
